This appears to be a band led by Red Nichols. The Wabash Dance Band recordings on the Duophone label were taken from English Brunswicks which were American Brunswicks that were shipped to England for release there.It appears to be the Nichols nucleus augmented by additional musicians. Personnel on this 1928 recording with uncredited vocalist is only partly known: Red Nichols, t, a, dir: Mannie Klein, t / Miff Mole, tb / Arnold Brilhart,? Jimmy Crossan, cl, as / Fud Livingston, cl, ts / Kurt Dieterle, ? Murray Kellner, vn / Arthur Schutt, p / Carl Kress, g / unknown.
