Lordship Salvation is heresy. John MacArthur is the main proponent of this heresy. His main thesis is this: The Gospel Is A Call To Obedience.
The Gospel is NOT a call to obedience, for the Gospel is NOT a set of commands. The Gospel is not Law. The Gospel is Good News! It is a message about who Jesus Christ is and what He did for His people about 2,000 years ago. The Gospel does demand obedience from us, but it does provide us with the perfect obedience of our Lord Jesus Christ alone. The perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ is imputed to us and received by faith alone.
