The Arnold 5K Pump & Run

A computer chip is worn by athletes and each competitor is required to successfully bench press a percentage of their bodyweight for as many repetitions as possible and then run a 5K race. Participants results are determined by deducting 30 seconds for every bench press repetition from the 5K running time. Register early as this event sells out very early every year! The Arnold 5K is a separate competitive event that showcases recreational runners through the streets of downtown Columbus. Runners enjoy the official race countdown with the Weekend's namesake, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
