Frank Novak & His Orchestra - I'm Keepin' Company

Frank Novak is a musician of whom extremely little is known. Occasionally he was credited a violin solo on the Victor label, so this seems to have been his instrument of his main instrument. Besides this, he was credited as the bandleader of a series of orchestras (Frank Novak & the Sourwood Mountain Boys on Musicraft, Frank Novak & his Music on Van Dyke, Frank Novak & his Orchestra on Crown, Frank Novak & his Rootin' Tootin' Boys on Melotone and Vocalion). However, it is also possible those were merely studio orchestras. As for the vocalist Charlie Lawman, he is even lesser known. I could find no information at all about him. The present recording was probably made in early 1932.
