00:00Alright, for next update, with all three major U.S. stock indexes parked gains by the closing bell,
00:06they gathered momentum during the session after Treasury Secretary Scott Benson said
00:11high tariffs between the U.S. and China were unsustainable,
00:15and Trump signaled he was open to easing trade tensions between the world's two largest economies.
00:20Late on Tuesday, Trump dialed back his attacks on the Fed, which included threats to fire Powell,
00:26most investors view the central bank shift as a stabilizing force in the market,
00:32which has been rattled by Trump's chaotic trade policy.
00:38First quarter earnings season has hit full stride, with 110 of the companies in the S&P 500
00:44having reported of those 75% have beaten Wall Street estimates, according to LSEG.

01:02I think this second day of an up market is really being propelled by possibly the unwinding of the uncertainty
01:10of this manufactured correction that drove the S&P 500 down 19% and the Nasdaq off more than 20%.
01:19Now we just have to see whether it is something that is going to be long-lasting,
01:25and rather just something that the administration is hoping for.
01:29We believe that the worst is likely behind us because of all of this bearishness that's been abounding.
01:36And as a result, while we might end up bouncing along the bottom for a little bit,
01:42that we do believe that the market will be working its way higher,
01:46recoup all of its losses by year end, and continue to work higher as we move into 2026.
01:53Wall Street stocks advanced on Wednesday on revived hopes for progress in the U.S.-China trade dispute,
01:59and as President Donald Trump sued fears the Federal Reserve could lose its autonomy
02:04with reassurances that he has no intention of firing Fed Chair Jerome Powell.
