“এটা গণহত্যা নয়, এটা হিন্দু নিধন। আমার প্রত্যেকের সাথে কথা হয়েছে, তারা প্রত্যেকে একই কথা বলেছে। তিনজনের প্রত্যেকে জানিয়েছে, তারা হিন্দু কিনা জেনে তাঁদেরকে হত্যা করা হয়েছে। আমি সকল সনাতনী ধর্মের মানুষের কাছে অনুরোধ করব আগামী কয়েকদিন তারা ‘ওঁ, স্বস্তিক চিহ্ন’ এঁকে সেই ধ্বজা হাতে আর জাতীয় পতাকা নিয়ে রাস্তায় নামুন। এই ঘটনায় সোচ্চার হন। মুর্শিদাবাদ আর কাশ্মীর যেন এক হয়ে গেছে। আর স্ত্রীদের, সন্তানদের বাঁচিয়ে রাখার একটাই কারণ, যাতে তারা বলতে পারে যে ২৬-এর বদলা ২৬০ জন জিহাদিকে খতম করে নেওয়া যায়”, পহেলগাঁও হামলায় ফের একবার কড়া ভাষায় প্রতিক্রিয়া দিলেন শুভেন্দু অধিকারী।
