So many ways to support Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society this month, and Magic 98.3 will be at a few of their upcoming fundraisers! Of course, this video covers a lot of the info, but also features adorable adoptables looking for their forever homes, and there's always a blooper reel at the end!

00:00Hey, it's Debbie Mazzella. It is our latest Kitty Corner video here at Magic983.com.
00:09We are at Karmacad Zen Dog Rescue Society in Milltown, and there is so much to cover,
00:14starting with a lot of events. The first one coming up on Friday the 13th, and it's going to be
00:18lucky because it's at Rabbit's Den Tattoo. Magic 98.3 is going to be on site from 1 to 3.
00:24The event goes throughout the afternoon. There is going to be a bake sale, a merch tent. There's
00:29going to be adoptable kittens on site. So definitely, if you are heading home from work
00:35or just want to stop by in your lunch hour, by all means, it's Rabbit's Den Tattoo. Also, October 14th,
00:41there is a merch event at Mary's Place by the Sea, a fantastic organization that benefits women that
00:47have been affected by breast cancer, men as well. So you can stop by for that. And then the big
00:54Happy Meowloween adoption event, which is going to be October 20th through the 22nd. Now Magic is
01:00going to be on site Friday night, October 20th from 5 to 7, and again on Saturday, October 21st from
01:06noon to 2. The adoption event goes all weekend, and there's going to be raffles and lots of fun,
01:11and of course, adoptable kitties, half-price adoptions. And they've got another fundraiser that
01:17we want to talk about. It's called Unleash the Love, and Karmacat is trying to raise some money
01:22for the adoptables that have come in that maybe have a little bit of a medical condition, or maybe,
01:28you know, they needed some surgery or some extra TLC. So you will see that floating around on their
01:34socials, and we've got also the information on the Kitty Corner page here on our website. So we're
01:39going to turn it over to Janine. She is going to tell you all about the Call for Volunteers,
01:43and also how you can raise some money for Karmacat by sponsoring a townhouse or an apartment
01:49with a monthly donation. You're right. This month, we're going to be unleashing the love because I
01:54know everybody loves kittens. We get so many requests for kittens, and we have a lot, a lot
01:59of kittens ready. But there are a lot of other needs, like we have this wonderful floofy white cat
02:05named Snowball who is diabetic, and he needs injections. He actually sat in a shelter for over a year
02:12because of his condition. And so we really specialize in helping those harder to adopt
02:17cats get adopted. We also had a beautiful one-eyed tortie. We've had a number of mama kittens found on
02:25the streets, which are the source of those kittens, and those mama cats need homes too. So there's
02:31definitely a big need, which is why we're trying to raise $10,000 this month. And so you can stop by
02:39any of our events and participate in those fundraisers, meet the magic team, and then sponsor
02:45a townhouse or if it's a better fit for you to be a volunteer and, you know, contribute in that way.
02:52We always need fosters. We need cleaners to help keep our facility in wonderful shape, help decorate.
03:00You're going to see a lot of fall decorations coming out, especially for our Happy Meowloween event. It's going to be
03:06decked out for Halloween. So you can decorate, you can make merch, help clean, help with our social media,
03:13and plan some of the events that we've mentioned. So next, I think we can get into our other wonderful
03:20adoptables with Shannon. Thank you so much, Janine. So here at Karma Cat, we have so many adoptable kitties.
03:28Speaking of which, the first one that we have actually is Woody. He's right behind me, right by
03:33my feet. He's three years old and he's a super cute little brown tabby and he loves getting his
03:40little butt scratched. We also have some cats in foster as well. We have a cat named Sarabi.
03:46She is also a mother cat. She gave birth to kittens a while back, but she's still, you know,
03:52looking for a home. She's doing well in foster and all that good stuff. She's about two and a half years
03:58old. She's also another brown tabby. She's the mom to the Lord of the Rings kittens, I believe.
04:04Yes. And they were, of course, adopted, but you know, Sarabi wants to find her home.
04:08Definitely. And then we also have Trinity Rodman. She's over in the back. She's our big girl. I think
04:15she's, what, 17 pounds? Yeah. About there. She's a big chonker, but she's really cute. She's also
04:22a bit older. She's about seven years old, but she's super cute. We also have Lindsey Horan.
04:28She actually just moved in here. She's in apartment C. So she's going to need some time
04:33to adjust a little bit, but she's also super cute. Definitely waiting for a home. And last
04:39but not least, we also have Victoria. She's also in foster as well. So she's waiting for a home
04:46and for somebody to adopt her. She's a super cute calico. And then I know I said last but not
04:51at least, but I do want to mention we have our senior cat. His name is Jumper. He's about
04:5610 years old. And he's super cute. He's all black. He has gorgeous eyes and he's definitely
05:02ready for Halloween. So yeah, Jumper, I just met for the first time today. All black. So
05:08definitely a mini Panther and would fit your decorated household for Halloween so well.
