00:00Let's start talking about the craziest things we've seen in this fair city because, you know, it's a cool city to be in.
00:06I love it so much. It's like the movies.
00:08It really is. And sometimes the movies are here. Actually, they shut down part of the strip last night filming something.
00:13Don't know what it was. Yeah, but like they they didn't let anyone know until like an hour before.
00:18Hey, we're going to shut down the strip for like right in front of Caesar's Palace for a bit.
00:22But it's just with all the casinos in town, either you're there gambling, you're there at a restaurant, whatever the case.
00:28Sometimes it can get a little wild.
00:31Yeah, a lot of the time. So like, what is the craziest thing you guys have seen in a casino?
00:38Lisa text us and said a baby left in the carrier on like the side.
00:44The parents were gambling on the machines and left to be. Come on, folks.
00:48Between that and like the dog that was just left in a car, like because.
00:51Yes. Yes. Oh, my goodness.
00:53That was so bad. A brand new puppy.
00:56And these people, they have votes and their vote counts as much as you guys.
01:00Oh, gosh. Gosh.
01:01It's disgusting.
01:03Yes. So I would say text us at 702-597-1027.
01:07The phone lines are absolutely crazy right now for a good reason.
01:10For a good reason. Yeah.
01:11That said, OK, so my dad and I back in like, I think, oh, six, we're walking around Planet Hollywood.
01:16Right. And we hear this massive commotion and what sounds like maybe gunshots or something.
01:22We have no idea what's going on. Things are getting knocked over and we like hit the deck.
01:28We're like scared that what just happened.
01:31Right.
01:31And then we hear cut.
01:34They were filming the movie 21.
01:37Oh, my gosh.
01:38That's so funny.
01:39Yeah.
01:39It's so I want you to finish this because it's so cool what your dad did.
01:44Yeah.
01:44Yeah.
01:44But I they shot some of 21 at Red Rock, too, when we were working there.
01:48Oh, nice. Were you in it?
01:50We all had to sign things in case we were walking around or whatever.
01:54So we didn't end up being in it.
01:55But we were there when they were shooting a lot of it.
01:58Yeah.
01:58Because it's cool.
01:58They filmed at Red Rock.
01:59They filmed all over the scene.
02:00The one thing I didn't like, though, watching it back is they swapped like a bunch of the scenes out.
02:06So like they would show Caesar's Palace and then they'd be walking through Red Rock.
02:10Yeah.
02:10And I'm like, not the same, guys.
02:12We're the only place that cares about that.
02:13I know it's so bad.
02:15So your dad, though, was actually in my dad, who is like, he grew up wanting to be an actor.
02:23And he had done summer stock and all that stuff.
02:25He hadn't done it in a while.
02:26And he heard cut and he looked at me.
02:29He's like, I'm getting in this.
02:30So he finagled.
02:32He talked to them and he figured out who the casting director was, got in touch with the casting director.
02:36My dad was an extra in 21 here.
02:38Oh, my gosh.
02:39Then, you know, it's the whole movie.
02:40If you haven't seen 21, it's about Blackjack and the MIT guys that, like, counted cards so good.
02:45It's a true story.
02:46Yeah, it's an amazing true story.
02:47And they're all banned from playing in the city because they absolutely cleaned them out.
02:50Yeah.
02:51So my dad goes back to Boston and then the production goes back to Boston.
02:54So my dad ends up being an extra there.
02:57He's in four parts of the movie.
02:58That is hysterical.
02:59Including, he's sitting next to Kate Bosworth in a scene.
03:03Oh, my gosh.
03:03And, like, from that point on, my dad has been an extra in, like, everything.
03:06Because of that moment, he was Ben Kingsley's stand-in on Shutter Island.
03:12Oh, my gosh.
03:13Yeah.
03:14So, like, the stand-in, you never see them.
03:16But my dad has got a big, bald head, just like Ben Kingsley.
03:19So when they want to light a scene, my dad would stand in the spot and they'd light them.
03:24And be like, yeah, yeah, okay.
03:26It's crazy.
03:26Good lighting.
03:27Yeah.
03:27So that was that.
03:28I saw Kenan Thompson one time walking around Red Rock.
03:31That's very cool.
03:31Yeah.
03:32Yeah.
03:32I feel like I've seen a lot of crazy things just because I worked in a casino for so long.
03:38But Jessica, really quick, says that she worked at a local sports book alongside this older guy who treated her like a daughter.
03:46And one day he was talking about, he was nervous about a social security issue that he was having.
03:52And he had a meeting the following day.
03:54So she tried to reassure him, like, everything's going to be okay.
03:57You're going to be fine.
03:59And then it wasn't, like, shortly after that, they found out that he faked his own death 30 years prior and left behind his wife and kids.
04:09And he was living under another person's identity, hence the social security issue.
04:15Oh, no.
04:15I believe it.
04:16Wow.
04:17Yeah, Jessica said so much for that pre-employment background check.
04:21For a casino and a sports book.
04:23That's pretty.
04:24But you know what, though?
04:25The social security number did check out.
04:27Yeah, I guess so.
04:28There it is.
04:29Yeah, for John Smith.
04:30So crazy.
04:31Yeah.
04:32We saw, I used to love watching people would come in, not just guys, but girls, too.
04:37I've seen divorces go down.
04:39I've seen people be served in the restaurant.
04:41Real time?
04:41Yes.
04:42No way.
04:43Yes.
04:43I've seen, I will not say which attorney it is, but it's one that is well-known here in Las Vegas.
04:52He punched.
04:53Have you ever been in Red Rock?
04:54Yeah.
04:54Or, I mean, T-Bones.
04:55Yeah.
04:55You know how they have the really pretty onyx behind the hostess desk in between the bar?
05:00So awesome.
05:01Punched that.
05:02No way.
05:03Yes.
05:03And it broke.
05:04And it cost him a pretty penny.
05:06Good thing he.
05:06Did he get injured?
05:07Did he represent himself?
05:11Yes.
05:12And he knows his own number, too, I'm sure.
05:14Oh, boy.
05:15That's exciting.
05:16Wow.
05:17Sub-tweeting.
05:18Yeah.
05:18There we go.
05:19I love, oh, man.
05:21Me and my, it's always hard when you don't read the text first, right?
05:24Yeah.
05:24When you're reading it live.
05:25Why?
05:25We've been reading a very long time.
05:26I don't know.
05:27Yeah.
05:27But it says, my boyfriend and I were walking through South Point when a very obnoxious
05:31drunk person from a bachelorette, or in bachelorette attire, came up to us and asked
05:37if we were married and lived here.
05:38We lied and said we were married and on vacation.
05:41And she said that she was a prophet.
05:43And she put her hands on our heads and started rubbing and humming while she was doing it.
