00:00Of course, of course, of course, of course, we have
00:03wakanganay po hindi nakapasa sa UP.
00:05I mean, out of the $130,000 na nag-exam, only $13,000.
00:11Or more than only $13,000 yung nakapasa dito.
00:16Of course, may yung...
00:19Ano po ba?
00:20Well, of course, just to put into record lang po.
00:23Of course, there will be people na sasabi nila na, of course, they want to go to UP,
00:27pero hindi siya nakapasa sa UP.
00:46Pero if they want to go to the UP,
00:48Ano po ba mga ways for them to enter?
00:54Thank you, Ed.
00:55Because you're asking about alternative routes.
00:57So for those who did not qualify, you can...
01:04There's another application for the Association of Arts Programme,
01:08the two-year program.
01:10Instead of UCAS, you have to show that you're able to reach the weight requirement for you to proceed to the Bachelor's Programme.
01:21So, uh, to separate you and ditch the floor.
01:25However, uh, if you're already enrolled in another university, you need one year in that university and apply to you using the 50 years.
01:37Okay.
01:38Actually, I just want to add a question here.
01:41So we accept around, so now 17,000 students, including the weight list.
01:48But, uh, uh, uh, the number of students, the first students with the degree program would be around 10,000.
01:55So, but then the weight list time, because there are students who would not actually, um, enroll or accept the offer.
02:10That, uh, then, uh, uh, uh,...
02:11Uh, it's that way, uh, maybe we work with some adults.
02:15And, uh, but then, uh, uh, there's a loan, um, in the tournament.
02:21So many hours.
02:22And that is...
02:31And even if we just increase from two weeks to six weeks, parang naging significant yun for them to actually plan their lives that nagtagap sila sa UP.
03:16We know that for many of the aspiring students, many of them do be the first choice.
03:24But we do not want to encourage that it is the only choice.
03:29And so to do that, to be able for us to spread equity in terms of quality education,
03:36we have been embarked on one flagship program which is SUC collaboration.
03:43We are collaborating with other state university colleges and even with the private colleges and universities to improve undergraduate education.
03:52So the idea is this, you can be in UP without being in UP.
04:00When you can have UP grade or quality education without necessarily being in UP.
04:06So it's more equitable.
04:08Kasi hindi naman kaya na UP ang dapin lahat na gusto na rin ang dapin.
04:12And it's not even advisable.
04:15So our mission right now is to help others improve the quality of undergraduate education.
04:23And we are now in our two-year period of helping them.
04:28And we know that through actual consultations, actual sharing of our best practices,
04:33and most importantly, to accept PSD for our graduates from other schools so that they can go back to the other schools.
04:42And I think that PSD could generally be a good help in improving quality under undergraduate education.
