00:57Ayon kay House Speaker Martin Romualdez, para sa kanila, hindi lang isang Santo Papa si Pope Francis,
01:04kundi isa rin guiding light sa panahon ng kadiliman.
01:07Hindi raw makakalimutan ng House Leader ang naging pagbisita nito noon sa kanila sa Tacloban City,
01:14kasunod ng pananalasa ng Super Typhoon Yolanda.
01:17Bagamat lumisan na si Pope Francis, mananatilian niya sa puso ng bawat isa ang kanyang kabutihan at pagmamahal.
01:25Ang iba pang mambabatas, nagbaliktanaw rin sa kanilang karanasan kasama ang Santo Papa.
01:31Isa raw siyang mabuting ehemplo na dapat tularan ng mga pampublikong opisyal,
01:35kaya hindi na mga kumakandidato sa eleksyon.
01:38Maging nga mga kongresistang hindi katoliko, nagpaabot din ang pakikiluksa.
01:42Pakinggan natin ang bahagi ng kanilang pahayag.
01:45Coming from Leyte, coming from Tacloban, medyo may personal na connect sa amin.
01:52He was there when our region was recovering from Typhoon Yolanda.
01:56When we were at our lowest, he was there to really assure us that we were not alone
02:01and that he's there for us.

02:09Alala ko pa yung sermon niya noong misa niya sa tarmac ng Tacloban.
02:16And all these images, all these memories keep coming back to me
02:19since we've learned of his passing.
02:23So while we mourn, while we are sad by his passing,
02:28at the same time we are also grateful.
02:31And we want to express that gratitude to him for being not just a Pope,
02:36but really a father to many of us Filipinos, especially in Eastern Visayas.
02:43We joined the global community in expressing our sympathies to the passing of Pope Francis.
02:52Kasi he's one of the leading voices in pushing for, number one is human rights.
02:59He's very active.
03:02Before he's becoming a Pope, he was really active in, I don't know, in interfaith dialogue.
03:09I believe he's very much active and supportive of that,
03:15the avenue of creating a more humane and more tolerant world.
03:21And Islam is one of those religions that really pushes for that understanding and tolerance
03:30among the three major Abrahamic faiths.
03:33So, of course, we send and express our sympathies to the Church
03:38and to the entire Roman Catholic community.
