00:00This is season 17, the show is such an institution at this point, like tons and tons of spin-offs, global, etc.
00:07But even knowing everything that you know about it, what was the most surprising thing when you actually got there?
00:14Do you want me to go first?
00:16Sure, thank you sister.
00:18I think what surprised me the most was how difficult it really is.
00:24It really is race, like it really is a competition.
00:26It's very regimented.
00:28And it's a surprise.
00:32And the girls really are, you know how they say we're like the Olympics of drag?
00:36Those girls are Olympians, you know?
00:38It takes like a mental fortitude to do this.
00:40Absolutely, I have found such a new respect for any single person who has walked into that workroom because it is, like you said, a race.
00:47I think piggybacking of what she said, yeah, it's fast.
00:51Everything happens so fast.
00:52You know, you don't have time to think.
00:53It's an instincts game.
00:55It's whoever's best at following their instincts.
00:57Because, you know, that's all you have in there.
00:59So, you both made it to the top four.
01:04Congrats.
01:05We've been waiting.
01:06We'll be sitting on the secret for a while.
01:07So now we can finally say it.
01:08We are finalists.
01:10It's a gag.
01:11It's a total gag.
01:12But, you know, it's drag race.
01:13Everybody gets critiqued.
01:15Since the show ended, what critiques have stuck with you the most?
01:19You know, that you've been using in your performances or just, you know, your everyday life.
01:23That's a good question.
01:25Mine obviously relates to my inner saboteur.
01:28You know, like that's obviously something that I really, really focused on while I was there.
01:33And that's something that I took from it.
01:34And it's something that I think resonated with a lot of people.
01:37So that's something that I'm just grateful and very thankful for continuously.
01:42Yeah.
01:43You know, one of the critiques I got a lot on the show was my runway walk being like very fast.
01:48And something Rupa always told me was to like ground myself a little bit more.
01:53And I've taken that with me to my everyday life.
01:55Like grounding myself in all moments and kind of reminding myself that there's power in just existing.
02:01Like you don't always have to do the most.
02:03You don't have to be like all over the place.
02:05Like there is just power in your existence and your presence.
02:09And so that's something that I've taken it for sure.
02:11Good advice on and off the stage.
02:13Absolutely.
02:13Yeah.
