00:00Definitely not authorised by the Australian Government, Canberra.
00:04You know, this is why we need more police patrolling our streets at night.
00:09Well, anyway, joke's on you vandals, because a new one will be going up in about two minutes.
00:14She's opinionated, she's controversial, and she's all for nuclear energy.
00:18Full blast on nuclear power, full blast on nuclear families, and full blast on nuclear deals.
00:25Tonight, we sit down with Belinda Greed, an independent candidate for the Senate.
00:30Her campaign song, More For Me, caused quite a stir, and led her to leave the Liberal Party.
00:35Work from home. Cuts. Joel Rudyard.
00:38Cuts, cuts, cuts, and at the end of the day, you get more for me. Who doesn't like that?
00:44Will the conservative country girl from Gippsland win the hearts of Australians?
00:50Thank you for joining me today. No, thank you for having me.
00:53Now, Peter Dutton has put working from home back on the table.
00:57Have you ever worked from home?
01:00No. I would never work from home. I'm a businesswoman.
01:04When I grew up, we knew the true meaning of hard work.
01:08Young people these days, they want too much.
01:11What are they doing when they're sitting at home?
01:13Playing with themselves.
01:14Some data has shown that people who work from home are more efficient.
01:18What would you say to that?
01:19Lies.
01:20How many public servants would you fire if given the chance?
01:23I would probably fire most of them.
01:27I'm a very efficient woman, so I can get things done on my own.
01:31And I like that because then I get to take more of the check home at the end of the day.
01:37I understand there's been a schism in your party. Could you tell me what happened?
01:41This is actually a little bit hard for me to talk about, but I went ahead with the song
01:49and the music video without prior approval.
01:54And some people didn't like that, but that's on them.
01:57Is John Howard one of these people that's spoken out against you?
02:01No, me and John have a really good relationship, actually.
02:04What about Michaelia Cash?
02:06Hmm, Michaelia has been a bit hesitant to get close to me,
02:11and I know it's because she's jealous of my hair.
02:22What impact has your catchy song had on the campaign?
02:27Everyone's singing it. They just can't get it out of their heads.
02:30What we do need is to cut more cuts, cut everything down,
02:35more prosperity for the self.
02:37Cut work from home, cut the dull bludgers out.
02:42And you know, as the song goes along, we're making cuts, cuts, cuts.
02:45And at the end of the day, you get more for me.
02:48Who doesn't like that?
02:50What's next for your campaign?
02:52As you know, I have defected from my former party,
02:55and I'm going full blast on nuclear.
02:57So we're going full blast on nuclear power,
03:02full blast on nuclear families,
03:04and full blast on nuclear deals.
03:06Nuclear everything.
03:08It's the only way forward for our country.
03:12I am a country girl at heart.
03:14I grew up in Trelgan in Gippsland,
03:17and my dad was a racehorse breeder,
03:22and my mother ran the local news agency.
03:25So I was very involved in the community there,
03:28and everyone back home is cheering me on.
03:31Go Belinda.
03:32And they have agreed, the whole town has agreed,
03:36that I can put the first nuclear reactor
03:38right in the middle of town of Trelgan.
03:41And what happens if you lose?
03:43I won't lose, darling.
03:45Belinda doesn't lose.
