00:00Welcome to Miss Mojo. Today we're looking at what all our favorite high school musical icons have been up to since the movies.
00:12Martha is a world-class choreographer. Troy and Gabriela are in couples therapy. Ryan is happily partnered with twins on the way.
00:22Bart Johnson. Johnson had already made a name for himself in the industry before playing coach Jack Bolton, Troy's dad.
00:28How you feeling? Nervous? Yeah, me too. Wish I could suit up and play alongside you. Hey, you had your turn.
00:39Since the trilogy's conclusion in 2008, he's maintained a consistent acting career. Most of his TV roles have been one-off characters in various shows.
00:46Examples include NCIS, Quantum Leap, and Hawaii Five-O. His most well-known performance was probably when he came back for high school musical The Musical, The Series.
00:55Oh my god, wait, Dad, look up! Did you know about this?
01:00Indeed, he appeared in two episodes of season four, giving us a nice boost of nostalgia. For those unaware, he's also been married to Robin Lively, Blake Lively's sister, since 1999.
01:11But you can really see the love coming from your own relationship in this film, and it was genuinely a pleasure to just see that.
01:19Oh, thank you. That's so nice.
01:21Allison Reed
01:22Reed was also widely known prior to High School Musical, having performed on Broadway starting in the late 70s.
01:28And I'm so good, I can dance any way you want me to.
01:30Let me dance for you.
01:33Let me try.
01:36Let me dance for you.
01:38We made a lot of music dancing, you and us.
01:43Since 2008, she's notably been in loads of TV shows. Like Bart Johnson, these are mostly one-off characters.
01:50She's had roles in Bones, Grey's Anatomy, Modern Family, Silicon Valley, and more.
01:55Luckily for us, she also came back for high school musical The Musical, The Series, final season.
02:00This is all about me? Oh, Charles. Oh my goodness. Oh, thank you. Oh, you shouldn't have.
02:12Couldn't agree more.
02:13But we did.
02:14The only movie she's been in since was Ad Astra in 2019, which acquired positive reviews, but was unfortunately a box office flop.
02:22As if that wasn't enough, she did the dialogue for witch Adria in Blizzard's Diablo 3 2.
02:28It was Diablo I saw within him, and I pledged myself to his service. Now, at last, his grand design comes to fruition.
02:42Casey Stroh.
02:43Martha Cox was an iconic character, with a passion for dance. It was tough not to love her.
02:48I love to pop and lock and jam and break.
02:51Is that even legal?
02:53Not another piece!
02:55It's just dancing.
02:55Sometimes I think it's cooler than homework.
02:57While playing Martha, Stroh also featured in two episodes of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody as Leslie.
03:03In 2010, she starred in the weight-loss reality show Celebrity Fit Club.
03:07Since then, she's not done that much acting.
03:09All I can say, darling, is I hope you have a really good lawyer.
03:13Because I think I just found my star witness for when I sue you.
03:18Andy Mack fans might recognize her as Zoe from the Andy's Choice episode, but her most popular role was probably teacher Casey in High School Musical, The Musical, The Series.
03:28So how do I snag two tickets for opening night?
03:31On a more personal note, Stroh has two daughters.
03:36Ryan Sanborn.
03:38Known for playing Jason Cross, Sanborn has kept things pretty low-key.
03:41You did it.
03:42You graduated.
03:43In 2008, following the third film, he left acting behind completely.
03:49He then decided to pursue a degree in architecture at the University of Utah.
03:54But that's not all.
03:55He also reportedly got serious about hockey in 2012, joining the Salt Lake Outliers.
04:00However, that seems to be the last anyone's really heard of him, and details are scarce to say the least.
04:05Miss Evans, would you care for Lemonade?
04:08Actually, I'm not Miss Evans.
04:10I'm Jason.
04:12Sanborn first started modeling when he was still a toddler, then went on to become a child actor.
04:17So perhaps he'd grown tired of the industry by the time the High School Musical series was wrapping up.
04:22Would you guys be mad at me if I asked him to get me one of those cool Red Hot jackets?
04:26Olesia Rulon.
04:27The Russian-American actress who played Kelsey Nielsen has maintained a relatively successful career since 2008.
04:32She's notably been in both NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles, the latter for five episodes.
04:38Recognizing these players yet?
04:40Yeah, definitely a couple of them.
04:43I've passed them on to the others.
04:44They're all listed as private businessmen, but a couple have been flagged as potential Russian assets.
04:50Currently, her last role was 2023's Black Bags, a television movie.
04:54Hilariously, she also starred in one episode of Family Guy as Russian Meg Griffin.
04:59I'm not actually part of sperm donation thing.
05:02I'm your secret clone.
05:04We have been orphaned blacked, and you soon will be dead.
05:07In 2021, she married Joseph Noel Pauline, who co-founded the Laundry Room clothing line.
05:13Less than a year later, Rulon gave birth to a daughter.
05:15In addition to all of this, she was also a ballet dancer, pianist, and certified nursing assistant.
05:20We've been pulled a hundred different directions, but whatever happens, I know I've got you.
05:30Chris Warren
05:31Forever Zeke Baylor to High School Musical fans, Warren has been acting for over two decades.
05:36Currently, he has a main role in Tyler Perry's series Sisters, playing Hayden Moss.
05:40I'm telling you, you don't have to find another job.
05:45You gonna take care of me?
05:47Yeah, maybe I will.
05:48Previously, he had a recurring role on The Fosters' third and fourth seasons.
05:52He would go on to star in the short-lived ABC mystery series Grand Hotel.
05:56Why'd you do that?
05:58You got all defensive when I brought up Skye.
05:59I'm pretty sure that's the guy she was seeing.
06:01Definitely not.
06:02How do you know?
06:03Because Skye was seeing a woman.
06:05Amusingly, he also guest-starred in the American version of The Inbetweeners,
06:09a critically reviled remake of the iconic British show.
06:12Clearly, Warren knows how to keep busy.
06:14We can't wait to see what he continues to do within the industry.
06:17I love to bake strudel scones, even I've penned out.
06:23Someday, I'll have to make the perfect creme brulee.
06:25Monique Coleman
06:26Coleman began acting at least 11 years before the first High School Musical movie,
06:31making her one of the older cast members.
06:33Of course, she's the one who brilliantly brought Taylor McKessie,
06:36one of Gabriela's first friends, to life in the franchise.
06:39The answer is yes.
06:40Huh?
06:41Our Scholastic Decathlon team has its first competition next week,
06:44and there is certainly a spot for you.
06:46Since then, she's acted in a variety of movies and shows.
06:49In 2021, she and Corbin Bleu, also known as Chad Danforth,
06:54played the lead roles in a Christmas dance reunion.
06:57Wow.
06:58You've, um, you've learned some new moves.
07:01I've had a lot of practice since we last danced.
07:05Coleman was also among those who appeared in High School Musical,
07:08the Musical, the series, guest starring for two episodes in the final season.
07:11Lifetime movie fans may also recognize her from Trapped in the Spotlight.
07:15I had to start over.
07:17No one would touch me after what you did.
07:19It's been 15 years, Nev.
07:24What do you want from me?
07:26I only want one thing.
07:27Corbin Bleu.
07:28Troy's best friend Chad wouldn't have been as mesmerizing as he was without Corbin Bleu's charm.
07:33The actor has a rich career, with a huge focus on theater work.
07:37Since 2010, he's been in tons of plays.
07:39He took on the lead in Little Shop of Horrors off-Broadway,
07:51and was Bill in Kiss Me Kate on Broadway.
07:54Additionally, he's such a good performer that he won the reality competition show,
07:58The Real Dirty Dancing, in 2022.
08:00You have to make the audience believe that you two are really having a connection,
08:05and the only way to do that is to actually establish some sort of a connection.
08:10That same year, he took on a recurring part in High School Musical, the Musical, the series.
08:14Years after his time as Chad came to an end,
08:16Bleu is still enchanting audiences on screen and especially on stage.
08:20Lucas Greybeal
08:30The man behind Ryan Evans also came back for High School Musical, the Musical, the series.
08:35Other than this, Greybeal has had various jobs in television across the years,
08:39in things like Phineas and Ferb, Duraimon, and more than 20 Family Guy episodes.
08:43That's right.
08:44Stewie, what would you say to a playdate at my house tomorrow?
08:47That sounds delightful.
08:48He also played Pinky Malinky in the Netflix animated show of the same name.
08:52Plus, in the 2010s, he nabbed the role of Toby Kenish in Switched at Birth,
08:57which ran for five seasons.
08:58The series was noteworthy for having scenes shot completely in American Sign Language.
09:03Don't treat my sister like that.
09:13Gun?
09:14Oh, a gun.
09:17Sister.
09:18Thanks.
09:19Greybeal also tried his hand at music, releasing an EP in 2011,
09:23but seems to have given up after one last 2014 single.
09:27I kept it cool, I want you to get closer to me.
09:30I was no fool, I knew you gotta take it slowly.
09:34Ashley Tisdale.
09:34Did you know that Candice from Phineas and Ferb also had a major part in High School Musical?
09:53Tisdale was the Sharpay Evans in the trilogy, while also playing Maddie in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
09:59What part are you trying out for?
10:01Hello?
10:03Sharpay?
10:04People say I look just like her.
10:06Really?
10:07I don't see it.
10:08She doesn't act as often as she used to, though you can watch her in since-finished projects like Carol's second act.
10:14She also turned her focus on her music career.
10:16Got every reason to walk out the door, but you'd rather be next to me with all the voices in my head.
10:24Her album Symptoms was released in 2019 and was so good, people just wished it was longer.
10:29She's also a businesswoman, having launched her own wellness brand.
10:33On the family side of things, she and husband Christopher French have two girls together.
10:37Vanessa Hudgens.
10:38I'm leaving today, cause I gotta do what's best for me, you'll be okay.
10:46Playing Gabriela Montez, one of the franchise's two leads, instantly made Hudgens a star.
10:51Her career has spanned over two decades, and she has tons of impressive performances under her belt.
10:55Deep in my eyes, what do you see? Deep in my sides, listen to me.
11:04She recently branched out into reality TV, dressing up as the goldfish and winning season 11 of The Masked Singer.
11:12The Oscars have also previously hired her as a pre-show host.
11:16In 2023, she got married to baseballer Cole Tucker, with the couple welcoming a child less than a year later.
11:22Of course, Hollywood still hires Hudgens for movies often, like the Bad Boys films and the Princess Switch trilogy.
11:28Oh, dear lord. There are three of them.
11:31No, your eminence. There is only one Margaret Delacorte, and I am she.

11:52Zac Efron.
11:53Hey, Troy. Great house, bro. Your room is way cool.
11:57Oh, thanks, man.
11:58Yeah.
11:58You were in my room?
12:00Well, yeah. I just took a picture.
12:03I'm doing mine the same way.
12:04Great.
12:05Since Troy Bolton debuted, Efron has been an A-list celebrity.
12:08He still regularly works in big-budget Hollywood productions, like 2023's The Iron Claw.
12:14One of his most famous projects from the past decade was in The Greatest Showman, alongside Hugh Jackman,
12:19where he got to show off his song and dance skills once more.
12:23So we can do like a trick at the cage, cause we know how to make the key.
12:28Oh, damn, suddenly we're free to fly.
12:32We're going to the other side.
12:34Efron also played Ted Bundy in a Netflix biographical crime drama, which he received massive praise for.
12:40In 2024, he turned 37 years old, the age the grown-up version of his character initially is in 17 again.
12:47Talk about making us feel old.
12:49You know, I will tell you something.
12:51You know, in 10 years, you're going to have this thing right here.
12:54There are no amount of crunches looking around.
12:56And spot reduction, total lie.
12:59You know, I...
13:00Never mind. Give me the ball.
13:03What's the favorite thing you've seen a high school musical star in since the film series ended?
