00:00It's been a whirlwind, as you know, a lot of games, but I've had a lot of conversations
00:12around how we move the club forward, how it looks, making good decisions on and off the
00:19pitch and making sure that we're all aligned on short, medium and long-term goals. It's
00:25an opportunity that massively excites me. I'm well aware of the centenary next year. There's
00:30a number of things that have come into it, but first and foremost, just managing this
00:34club. If you'd have told me I'm a little kid that I'm going to do that, I probably wouldn't
00:38have believed you, so it's just a huge honour.
00:40How much of the first four games that you've had in charge really whet your appetite to have
00:45this game got took?
00:47Massively, really. I think the reaction from the fans, the reaction from the players, the
00:54feel-good factor. Just seeing people smile again. I'm obviously from the area, I live
01:01in the area. I've had conversations with a number of people and even had conversations
01:06sometimes where I didn't want to. People are passionate about the football club and they
01:13should be. We want to try and get results. We've had results in this four-game short period,
01:20but it has to be a lot longer sighted than that. It's important that this obviously decision's
01:27been made quickly and really decisive from chairman and board of directors, which is obviously
01:32really pleasing for me. They've made me feel wanted. They've made me feel valued. That's
01:37important, but I'm well aware that you're going to get judged on what happens on the football
01:41pitch. It just gives me now a real clear identity as to how we can move forward. We can implement
01:48a lot of things. Staffing, things on and off the pitch, recruitment. There's a number of
01:55things I can't wait to get my teeth into. I've said all along that every decision I make
02:00will be for the long-term future of this football club. It won't be for here and now. It's important
02:06that certainly the fans hear that and make sure that they're part of this long-term journey,
02:12which is the commitment that the club has given to me and one that I want to repay massively.
