Govt, private hospitals directed to reserve separate beds for dengue patients: Dr R Rajesh Kumar

Dehradun (Uttarakhand), April 16, 2025 (ANI): Uttarakhand Department of Health and Family Welfare Secretary Dr R Rajesh Kumar on April 16 issued guidelines and Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) for the management of dengue and chikungunya. He also informed that government and private hospitals have been directed to reserve separate beds for dengue patients. “We have issued guidelines and SoPs on behalf of the Health Department for the management of Dengue and Chikungunya. We release every year, normally in April, so that our action plan is prepared beforehand. Under the preventive strategy, we work on source reduction, which includes the destruction of larvae...All government and private hospitals have been directed to reserve separate beds for dengue patients...,” said Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar.
