00:00We at Dodge Engineering make the cars great for the drag strip and for the
00:09racetrack. We also want to bring that high level of expectation to customers
00:13that drive in all weather conditions. So we're up here in Michigan's Upper
00:17Peninsula at the Keweenaw Research Center making sure that the new Dodge
00:23Charger performs great in snowy conditions.
00:28With all-wheel drive now standard on the Dodge Charger, it's really an evolution
00:32for us in the next step of performance. It solidifies that performance and
00:36capability of the car, plus you can go rear-wheel drive and still have all the
00:40muscle car fun with it when you want to.
00:44We previously topped out at around 300 horsepower on the outgoing cars with
00:49all-wheel drive. We're now just starting at 420 horse on the six-pack SO. We're
00:55climbing all the way up to 670 horsepower, all with standard all-wheel drive now. So
01:00it's really the next evolution. And this really gives the new Dodge Charger
01:03customer the ability to have the world's only all-wheel drive muscle car.
01:11On every single Dodge Charger now coming up, we'll have wet and snow mode. The
01:15engineers did a great job of basically modulating track control, electronic
01:20stability control, and the ratio from front to rear power to maximize basically the
01:25car's performance and capability in all-weather driving conditions.
01:32So on the new Charger Scat Pack, it comes with drift and donut mode. We were out here in
01:36Houghton, Michigan having fun and still being safe while testing all the capabilities in the new car,
01:43including the drift and donut mode. One of the great technologies we put in both the
01:49six-pack and the Daytona is a mechanical limited slip differential. This technology,
01:56the Dodge team provides customers to make the vehicles perform great in winter conditions.
02:03Muscle cars and rear-wheel drive high horsepower cars are huge in the warm states and in a huge market
02:09there. This opens up a whole new opportunity for us and our customers who just want that muscle car,
02:15but maybe couldn't get something if they didn't have all-wheel drive, just kept a car in the garage.
02:19This really gives the customers an opportunity to have a muscle car as a daily driver.
