00:00In the meantime, Greece signed an agreement to acquire anti-ship missiles from France
00:04as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen defense capabilities amidst heightened tensions with neighboring Turkey.
00:10Defense Minister Nikos Dembias formalized the deal for 16 Exocet missiles
00:15alongside his French counterpart Sébastien Le Corneau, who visited Athens for a one-day trip.
00:21The cost of the agreement was not disclosed.
00:23This latest acquisition follows earlier purchases from France, including 24 Rafale fighter jets and three Belhara-class frigates.
00:32Dembias also announced that talks are underway for a potential fourth frigate.
00:38Additionally, France is supplying Greece with NH-90 military helicopters
00:42as both countries continue to collaborate on defense sector innovations.
