00:00Mike Garofalo, NFL Network, discussing Shadur.
00:04Private workout with the Giants.
00:07I think we all owe Keefe an apology on some level.
00:09Finally.
00:10Finally.
00:10I was sitting here going, Shadur's dropping.
00:12He's falling.
00:13He's going to the Saints at night.
00:14He's going to the Steelers at 21.
00:17Shepard already said Hunter's going two and Carter's going three.
00:19Okay, so it's over.
00:20He's not going in the top three.
00:23And yet, Keefe, the door is ajar.
00:25Hell yeah.
00:26Wide open.
00:26The odds markets would still favor Hunter going two and Carter going three, but that
00:31does not mean the dream is dead.
00:32Shadur, private workout with the Giants.
00:35I have theories on what's going on, but I'm curious your thoughts on this.
00:38Are you saying shenanigans?
00:39No, I'm still standing by.
00:40No, I'm not even saying shenanigans.
00:41I think something's up with the change of course, if you will.
00:44Better chance three quarterbacks go in the top three than one quarterback goes in the
00:48top three.
00:48My final bet would be two quarterbacks still go in the top three.
00:52Right?
00:52It skews towards three over one.
00:53More likely three than one.
00:56So I would still disagree with that, but whatever, fine, fine.
00:58That's fine.
00:59People go crazy for quarterbacks.
01:01They do every single year.
01:02There's a million examples of it and it's not set in stone.
01:05We still have nine sleeps until the NFL draft.
01:07So things can change.
01:09And you can't tell me that Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco in Cleveland makes them think
01:15they're good at quarterback and that Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston makes the Giants feel
01:19like they're all set at quarterback.
01:20They might start Russell Wilson for a year, but we just saw a team last year in the Atlanta
01:26Falcons get Kirk Cousins, who at that time was viewed a lot better than any of these
01:31guys that just signed with these two teams.
01:33And they still drafted Penix in the first round.
01:36And that wasn't even the second best quarterback in the draft.
01:39That was what the fifth, or at least based on the fourth, Penix was four.
01:43Knicks was no McCarthy was five.
01:45Knicks was six.
01:46All right.
01:46So they didn't even get like a top three guy.
01:48Whereas these teams have a chance to get number two.
01:50And that was, I guess, the question, like, is Sanders for sure the number two quarterback
01:54over Dart?
01:55I feel like teams would be overthinking it if they leapfrog Dart.
01:59Me too.
02:00Sanders, though, I would not shock me at all if it ends up bouncing out and up, down, all
02:06around ends up being the third pick of the draft.
02:07So Pellicero and Rapsheet had the initial report on this Shaduro workout, and you can jump
02:12in on it.
02:13617-779-7937.
02:16Now we'll talk about the potential fallout for the Patriots.
02:18We do have to update Bill and Jordan.
02:20There's an update there.
02:21Holy smokes.
02:22Which I want to get to here momentarily.
02:24We'll tear off the NBA playoff teams at 1130.
02:27We have another pair of Red Sox tickets to give away on a two for Tuesday at 1130.
02:31Two more pairs after that, 1230, 130.
02:34It'll continue on WEI Afternoons here on a two for Tuesday.
02:37Tommy Curran, high noon.
02:38Kiefer Madness, 1245.
02:40Vrabel, live at one.
02:42Oh, my God.
02:42Too much stuff.
02:43I mean, honestly, we could just go home.
02:44I feel like the show is just running itself.
02:46That's it.
02:46At this point in time.
02:47Uh, and we'll get to your phone calls here in a moment.
02:49Pellicero said the intrigue at three.
02:51The Giants plan to work out former Colorado quarterback Shadur Sanders privately on Thursday.
02:56Sources tell Pellicero and Rapsheet.
02:58New York has done a lot of work on Sanders since the fall.
03:00Now one more look a week before the draft.
03:04Now, Mike Tannenbaum had a theory on this.
03:06All right.
03:07He tweeted out today on a similar Schefter report, quote tweeting it, said, when this happens
03:11so late in the process, either there's a big disagreement in the building.
03:15More on that in a moment.
03:17Uh, or they're reacting to new information.
03:19Okay.
03:20So I read that tweet from Tannenbaum and I was reminded of something that Burt Breer reported
03:23the other day.
03:24All right.
03:25Uh, he said that more than one person has told Breer that if Shadur Sanders goes in the
03:30first round, it's because an owner got involved.
03:33So the plot thickens.
03:35So either the Maras are driving this and they're like, we're taking the quarterback.
03:39You dummies.
03:40I don't care that you brought in Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston.
03:44We're taking the quarterback because no offense, Brian Dayball.
03:47You're probably not going to be here after this year.
03:49We got to think beyond this year.
03:50You too, Joe Shane.
03:52So ownership is getting involved, which I think is always the case with these quarterbacks.
03:55I think it was the case last year with the Patriots drafting Drake May.
03:59I give the credit to the crafts for drafting May.
04:01I don't give any credit to Elliot Wolfe.
04:03So I think owners typically get involved on this level of pick.
04:06Yeah.
04:06That position.
04:07Uh, exactly.
04:08Right.
04:08At quarterback.
04:09My other sidebar thought, I wonder if the Giants are trying to get a team like New Orleans
04:14to panic and trade up, which would still be a good thing for the Patriots.
04:18Like no matter what, there's not a bad thing.
04:19Either the Giants are trying to, uh, or having a reevaluation on whether or not they're
04:25going to take Sanders at three, or they're trying to drum up interest in the third pick
04:29for a quarterback hungry team.
04:30Whether that is the Raiders thinking long-term beyond Geno, whether that is the Jets thinking
04:35long-term beyond fields, whether that's the Saints at nine, the Steelers at 21, whoever
04:40it is, they're trying to drum up interest in that pick to get a team to move up and take
04:43a quarterback, which would be great news for the Pats to get Carter to drop.
04:46It's something like that.
04:47Also, the Giants have had enough time to also gauge the reaction of the Wilson and Winston
04:52signings.
04:54And again, the GM, the head coach, they're probably like, all right, this is what our football
04:57team's going to be.
04:58And this is who we can get.
04:58We can get Abdul Carter.
04:59We can go from there.
05:01But the owner says, wait a minute.
05:03Like we have a chance to get Shader Sanders.
05:05Like we have a chance to get a star quarterback in the making.
05:08And again, could be a bust, right?
05:10Like that's part of the, uh, the, the, the beauty of the draft.
05:13Also, we had a caller yesterday.
05:15They kind of, I think it was yesterday, throw out the idea.
05:18There's also a chance where both New York teams need a quarterback and the Giants could pass
05:23up on Sanders or Dart.
05:24And then the Jets take him and now Shader rules New York.
05:27Right.
05:28I mean, there's a, it's outlandish because the Jets quarterbacks always stink.
05:31It's they, they don't know how to develop.
05:33It's just a, it's a cursed franchise for the quarterback.
05:35However, but winning the back pages in New York is a thing, whether it should be or not,
05:39we can debate, but, but it is.
05:40And so how bad of a look is that for the Giants when the other team in town gets the quarterback
05:44and now he's the toast of the town.
05:47If that scenario played out, I think that that's a fear of the Giants.
05:51How big a one, I don't know, but I think somewhere on the list, that's always a fear.
05:55You don't want the Jets to get a guy and then have it thrown back in your face and vice
05:59versa.
05:59The Jets don't want that either.
06:00This doesn't really explain the late, uh, workout, but you, you also wonder when the Giants
06:06ended the season and they had the third pick and they saw the two teams ahead of them.
06:09I wonder if they assumed, well, two quarterbacks will be gone.
06:12The Titans need one.
06:13The Browns need one.
06:14So do we really want to take the third quarterback in a draft that might only have one good one
06:19or do we want to take the best player available?
06:21But now as time has gone on more and more smoke around the fact that the Browns are willing
06:25to pass up on one of the quarterbacks, just throwing that out there too.
06:28Maybe they're like, oh, we can still get the second best quarterback without even moving
06:30up.
06:30So to me, it's good timing.
06:32We're going to do hate it or love it, a prospect every day at 1145.
06:35Travis Hunter yesterday, uh, spoiler alert, final results are not in.
06:39You can still vote at Jones and Keith, uh, Twitter and Instagram.
06:42People love, love it.
06:43The Travis Hunter pick.
06:44Should he be there at four?
06:45As they should.
06:46Uh, we'll get to Abdul Carter coming up at four, but this is a scenario you need to play
06:49out.
06:49The Giants take Shadur at three or they drum up interest in the third pick.
06:52The Saints move up and take Shadur at three.
06:55And now Abdul Carter is in your lap at pick number four.
06:57As of today, what, where do you think Shadur gets picked?
07:01What number?
07:02Nine.
07:02Okay.
07:03You're sticking with nine.
07:03Yeah.
07:04But top 10.
07:05Not bad.
07:05Top 10.
07:06Nothing to sneeze at.
07:06And I like him.
07:07And I think, I think teams that need quarterbacks like Cleveland and the Giants, you should be
07:10taking Shadur.
07:11I like him enough where you need a quarterback.
07:13You should, you should do that.
07:14See, that's where, if I'm the Steelers at that point, you know, it's really hard to
07:19trade up to four.
07:20You have to sacrifice a ton and you have to really, really believe in the guy, but you can't
07:24just let the Saints just wait till nine.
07:26Like that, they need to move up.
07:27This wouldn't affect the Patriots, but they need to move up to like eight and snipe them.
07:30And I'm not saying he's, you know, Mahomes, but in that Mahomes draft, both the Chiefs
07:35and Texans move way up for Mahomes and Watson, which, you know, worked out while Watson was
07:40in Texas for a bit, uh, or in Houston rather.
07:42So you can move from the twenties into like eight, nine and, or, you know, eight to leapfrog
07:48the Saints.
07:48You could do that.
07:49I don't think you're moving to three, but you could go 21 to eight and give up future
07:52picks and make that work.
07:53Yep.
07:53Uh, we'll get to Bill and Jordan in a moment.
07:55Very, very interesting emails from Jordan.
07:57Jeepers.
07:58That I want to get to.
07:59You think that's like a standard Gmail or do you think she's got something else?
08:01Like a business one?
08:03Good question.
08:04Well, she might have a business one.
08:05The question is, is it a real business?
08:08Would be the question.
08:09Uh, but we'll get to that coming up.
08:10617-779-7937.
08:12Chris is in New Bedford.
08:13What's up, Chris?
08:14Hey guys, uh, I would, this is a point you guys were just talking about, like the idea
08:20of three quarterbacks on first three, because like Brown's ultimately like what they have
08:25Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett as a quarterback, but that for the future, like a, even one of
08:29these guys is a risk of the quarterback would be better than that.
08:32So like, let's say Sanders too.
08:34Now we'll run on the quarterback.
08:36Giants get all panic.
08:37Boom.
08:38Jackson, dark and Patriots.
08:39And then you get your pick of the litter at four.
08:41You would take, this guy gets it.
08:43In that scenario, which I don't see happening, but it's happening in that scenario.
08:46You would take Travis Hunter.
08:47I would take Carter, but I'd be happy with either one.
08:50Same.
08:50The thing with the Browns that I still wouldn't rule out.
08:53Uh, and I, I was pretty in on that Flacco signing cause he finished so well in Cleveland
08:56the other year.
08:57Keep pointed out.
08:58He hasn't played more than 10 games in a year or started more than 10 anyway.
09:01Since like 2017.
09:02Played.
09:02Yeah.
09:03Since 2017.
09:03Okay.
09:04So that, that happened.
09:05That had me out on Flacco.
09:07Yeah.
09:07I think Kirk Cousins to the Browns is still looming over everything.
09:10So they may have a backup plan.
09:12But we saw how that worked out.
09:13No, I'm not saying it's a good plan.
09:15I'm just saying in terms of them drafting a quarterback, I think that's still a.
09:18So if I was the Browns or Giants, I would not draft a quarterback only if I was like
09:24really not sold on Sanders or Dart and not because I'm sold on the guys that I currently
09:30have.
09:30Like that's where you and I differ.
09:32You're, you're of the mindset.
09:33If you don't have a quarterback, grab a quarterback, keep drafting him, keep drafting him, keep
09:36drafting him.
09:36I mean, if you like him.
09:37I think year to year is different.
09:38Well, I agree.
09:39Okay.
09:39I wouldn't, I wouldn't take Jackson Dart two or three personally.
09:42Right, right, right.
09:43But I would take Shadur there if I needed a quarterback, but that, that's cause I, I
09:45like Shadur.
09:46I don't like Dart.
09:47So that's what I'm saying.
09:48It's as simple as that.
09:49Yeah.
09:49You know, I would have taken Richardson where he went.
09:51Shows what I know.
09:53Our buddy coach is in New Hampshire.
09:54Could be a coach back here for Richardson.
09:56Hey coach.
09:57Yeah.
09:58Guys, my jar is still dropped about the TikTok video that dropped yesterday with Jordan or
10:06is it Wonder Woman?
10:07Cause that's the outfit she had on, on the practice field.
10:11I just have to ask you guys, you know, the Patriots, you cover them for years.
10:16If you saw that at a Patriots practice with Jordan walking up to Bill and mingling with
10:23the other assistants and looking like a freak show, would that be a huge story?
10:28And why isn't it at UNC?
10:30Okay.
10:30Let me tell you.
10:31I was going to ask coach if he would ever allow that with his lady.
10:33I'm sorry.
10:34Come on Jones.
10:34You know what?
10:35Coach, if you could call back a quick trigger.
10:37Like on the high school fields, coach ever has his girl walking up and down the sideline.
10:40If you could call back coach, shame on me.
10:42Keep his right.
10:43I just want to follow up.
10:44If you're watching on twitch.tv slash bostonwe.
10:46No, it is wild.
10:47And the reason why it's, well, there's several reasons why it's wild.
10:50You just, you don't see it.
10:51But the other thing would be Bill specifically always preached no, no distractions.
10:56I was just going to say this.
10:57Football is life.
10:57This, this, this, this, this, this.
10:59Do your job.
10:59Do your job.
11:00Coach, wrong question.
11:01Yeah.
11:01What would Bill say if another coach had this going on?
11:04Well, first of all, he wouldn't allow it.
11:06No, no.
11:07Not at his practice.
11:08Meaning like Bill's watching another coach at any level of football.
11:11Yeah.
11:11For 20 years here in New England.
11:13Listen, what would he say if they were letting their 24 year old, 25 year old girlfriend
11:18don't do this strut up and down the field in the middle of practice, Bill would, it turns
11:22out he'd be real jealous.
11:23Well, I guess, but we were led to believe Bill would have mocked it, chastise it, made fun
11:28of it.
11:29And it turns out he's just a big giant hypocrite when it comes to this.
11:33She's parading around in the middle of practice.
11:35Wild.
11:35In the middle of practice.
11:37Yeah.
11:37Fire enough emails.
11:37Not standing on the sideline, walking up and down the middle of the field.
11:41Yeah.
11:41Okay.
11:42The latest from, uh, I read it aggregated by Florio.
11:45This started at the athletic, Matt Baker.
11:46Okay.
11:47Uh, so Bill went to a, uh, public university, the university of North Carolina and Florio
11:52makes the point.
11:53Maybe he should have gone to a private one because he's finding out.
11:56Yeah.
11:56It's open season at a public university.
11:59All your emails are public record can be requested in things like this.
12:03Oh boy.
12:04And so the athletic has obtained emails.
12:06Uh, and hell emails cost crude in his job.
12:09Jordan Hudson was sending.
12:11So he writes, uh, first of all, her email signature identifies her as the chief operating
12:17officer, the COO of Belichick productions.
12:21That's a thing.
12:22Belichick found no business production.
12:24I'm sorry, Baker found no business registered in that name.
12:27Belichick productions.
12:28That's a fake signature.
12:29Do you have a signature?
12:30I think my signature right now is my name and my phone number.
12:34I don't think it even has anything.
12:35Yeah.
12:36I am.
12:36They're related.
12:36I think the work one I have, like they, they showed like a template for everybody.
12:40That looks pretty professional.
12:42Yeah.
12:42My regular one though.
12:43It just kind of, you just get the email.
12:45Uh, so, uh, it helps explain her role in, for example, negotiating with NFL films.
12:50What's it called again?
12:51This might be my fantasy team name.
12:52Belichick productions.
12:53Yeah.
12:54Yeah.
12:54Okay.
12:54The COO of Belichick productions.
12:57Okay.
12:59Uh, we have more emails here.
13:01She and Belichick are very sensitive about the criticism of Belichick on the UNC football
13:05page.
13:06Okay.
13:06What's the UNC football page?
13:08What does that mean?
13:09Is that mean?
13:09Yeah.
13:10What does that mean?
13:10Like, like on Facebook?
13:12Well, then get off of Facebook.
13:13Perhaps.
13:14Does it mean?
13:15What do you mean?
13:16What?
13:16Like, what would the UNC football page be on the internet?
13:20This is what it says.
13:20Or is it part of Belichick productions?
13:22This is what it says.
13:22She writes, is there anyone monitoring the UNC football page?
13:27Probably does mean Facebook.
13:29Facebook.
13:29For slanderous commentary.
13:30Or they need a moderator.
13:31And subsequently deleting slash blocking users that are harassing BB.
13:35That's how she refers to him.
13:36BB.
13:37BB in the comments.
13:38She asked on February 13th.
13:40She's like, I don't have time to be the moderator.
13:42I'm at practice.
13:43This is what she was hoping for a good Valentine's Day.
13:45She sent this on February 13th.
13:46She's like, I gotta.
13:46Does anybody in their mid-20s can handle criticism online?
13:49That's true.
13:49I think worrying about what people are saying in the Facebook UNC football page comments
13:55is a good use of your time.
13:57I think the date is interesting here.
13:58This is the day before Valentine's Day.
13:59She's trying to get BB all buttered up and nice and happy the day before Valentine's
14:04Day.
14:05The next day, Belichick wrote this.
14:08This is on Valentine's Day.
14:09So Bill wrote this?
14:10Yes.
14:10On the UNC page?
14:11Oh, no.
14:11In an email.
14:12In an email.
14:13Yeah, yeah, yeah.
14:13Because his emails are public.
14:14Right.
14:15I cannot believe UNC would support my being called a predator.
14:20Hmm.
14:21My being called?
14:22Florio adds the Chapel Hill honeymoon ended in roughly two months.
14:27So UNC fans are now referring to Bill as a predator.
14:29Well, not all fans.
14:31Some?
14:31Just some.
14:32The vocal minority, which is who gets you.
14:34They're the ones who get you.
14:35Not everybody feels this way, Bill, but there are people apparently who do.
14:39And don't read.
14:40Read some of the positive ones.
14:41Yeah, yeah, yeah.
14:41That's what I always tell myself.
14:42Read a couple positive ones.
14:43I mean, again, this is you.
14:44He's not even at, like, Alabama.
14:46Oh, God, no.
14:47No, no.
14:48This is a basketball school.
14:49Yeah.
14:49You're a basketball school.
14:50Ohio State.
14:50When's Jerry Stackhouse tonight?
14:52I really care about the football team.
14:54So UNC fans, some of them, are calling Bill a predator.
14:57He's not happy about it.
14:58Jordan, the COO of Fake Belichick Productions.
15:02Dude, that's hilarious.
15:02Is upset they're not deleting things.
15:04She's also upset about how Steve Belichick is viewed down there.
15:08Oh, no.
15:09What are they saying about Steve?
15:10Florio says she asked the school's media team.
15:13She asked the team to display greater sensitivity to the inherent nepotism associated with Belichick's decision to hire his own son, Steve, to work as school's defensive coordinator.
15:23Bill probably got sensitive to that criticism over the years up here as well.
15:26Yeah.
15:27Which, by the way, well-deserved.
15:29She writes, this is Steve's potential future stepmom.
15:33She writes...
15:34He's older than by, like, 16 years.
15:36Though Steve Belichick is, in fact, Bill's son.
15:38She calls him Bill this time, not BB.
15:40Yeah, yeah, yeah.
15:40He should be depicted and represented as his own established, credible entity, as opposed to an extension of Bill.
15:47This was on December 22nd.
15:49Sure.
15:49It can be easily misinterpreted that Steve is simply benefiting from nepotism, but that is not the case.
15:53No, hell no.
15:54Steve was fortunate to have learned defensive football strategy from the, quote-unquote, greatest defensive mind of all time.
16:01Well, she's not wrong.
16:02I like that she just didn't say football mind, because she's like, he's not that great at all.
16:06Defensive mind.
16:06Just defensive.
16:06He did that, Brady.
16:08He has earned his position due to his performance and output.
16:11There you go.
16:12So, Jordan going to bat for Steve.
16:14Nice.
16:15Going to bat for Bill slash BB.
16:16She's the COO of fake Belichick Productions.
16:18This is what Belichick Productions is.
16:20Defending the Belichicks.
16:21That's all it is.
16:22I mean...
16:23That's good stuff.
16:24Can you imagine the eye rolls you get from Jordan every time there's some administrator or some whatever,
16:28somebody in the football office or something has to deal with her nagging emails over that?
16:32I'll tell you, you know how I keep, like, an unofficial WAG power rankings.
16:35You do.
16:36And, like, Doug Christie's wife was really high, because she would never even, like, leave his sight.
16:41Miko Grimes.
16:42Yeah.
16:42Remember Brent Grimes?
16:43I sure do.
16:43She was...
16:44So is she in that?
16:45She's in the ride-or-die category?
16:45All she's doing is defending him and writing these emails and, like, trying to, like...
16:49She's defending the kid?
16:50You know what?
16:50Good point.
16:51That's kind of next level.
16:52Good point.
16:53Seems unnecessary, but she's got to spend her time somehow, I guess.
16:57She can't even let him out of his sight for practice.
17:00She's going to practice, walking up and down the field.
17:02I mean, the stuff those players must be saying, I can only imagine.
17:06That's unbelievable, though.
17:07Yeah.
17:08He's the greatest defensive...
17:09Steve was fortunate to learn from the greatest defensive mind.
17:13What's he got that job on merit?
17:14Let's put him in the proper context.
17:16Yeah.
17:17And, oh, by the way, let's delete some of these negative comments about BB.
17:21That'll fix everything.
17:22Bill doesn't want to be called a predator.
17:24I mean, fair.
17:25Well...
17:25Predator is probably not the word, but I mean...
17:27Well...
17:28Well...
17:29I don't know what the definition is.
17:32I have to look that up.
17:33He's something.
17:34I don't know if predator is the word, but he's something.
17:36So there you go.
17:36That's all the latest with Jordan and BB, the COO of Belichick Productions and the greatest
17:43defensive mind.
17:44I'm happy she pointed that out.
17:45Not the greatest mind.
17:46Yeah.
17:46The greatest defensive mind in the history of the sport.
17:49That's the qualifier Jordan put on it.
17:51Predator is an animal that naturally preys on others.
17:54So not on...
17:55I don't think that applies.
17:57I don't think so.
17:58Just on Valentine's Day.
