A Colorado woman, 20-year-old Alexa Bartell, was killed after a group of teens threw a large rock through her windshield. Bartell then crashed her car and now police say, not only did the teens who threw the rock do nothing to help her, they also took photos of the wrecked vehicle as a memento of the incident. 00:00Recently, this Colorado woman, 20-year-old Alexa Bartel, was killed after a group of teens threw a large rock through her windshield.
00:07Bartel then crashed her car, and now police say not only did the teens who threw the rock do nothing to help her,
00:12they also took photos of the wrecked vehicle as a memento of the incident.
00:16Bartel's crash occurred on April 19th, but now the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office say they've arrested three teenagers in connection with her death.
00:24What's more, they say the teens were also involved in other similar incidents that have occurred over the last several months.
00:30USA Today reports that court records indicate the teens loaded up the bed of a pickup truck with landscaping rocks.
00:36They then drove around and tossed them at oncoming vehicles.
00:39The court records report they sometimes drove around at speeds of up to 75 miles per hour before unleashing the giant stones on passing cars.
00:46According to the Sheriff's Office, DNA evidence and GPS cell phone data was used to identify the three suspects involved in Bartel's death.
00:54Those three who have now been identified as Joseph Koenig, Nicholas Mitch, Carol Cheek, and Zachary Kwok are all 18 years of age.
01:02According to an affidavit, it was Kwok who threw the deadly stone and took the picture,
