A British couple narrowly escaped death when a fire broke out at their hotel just days into their £1,500 Turkish holiday.
Daniel and Christine Steel were woken by shouting and realized dense smoke was filling their room.
Unable to hear smoke alarms, they had to scramble barefoot across the hotel roof to safety.
They were later hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
The couple's clothes and belongings were destroyed in the fire.
Daniel, who had previously survived a major fire at Bradford City's Valley Parade stadium, believes they are "lucky to be alive."
Jet2holidays confirmed that all guests were evacuated, with three taken to the hospital as a precaution.
