Seit 2016 arbeitet ein freiwilliges Modding-Team fleißig am ambitionierten Fan-Projekt Skyblivion. In einem neuen Trailer zeigen die Entwickler Einblicke in ihr Schaffen und den aktuellen Stand der Riesen-Mod. Skyblivion soll nicht etwa eine 1:1-Kopie von Skyrim werden, sondern wird auch verbessertes Gameplay und neue Assets enthalten, um ein modernes Spielgefühl einzufangen. Die Mod wird nach Launch kostenlos für Besitzer von Skyrim zur Verfügung stehen.

00:00Welcome to a special Skyblivion Showcase.
00:04We are a purely volunteer team of fans and modders
00:07working to make a freely available remake of Oblivion in Skyrim's engine.
00:12Our aim is to bring The Elder Scrolls IV to a new generation of gamers
00:17and reintroduce it to longtime fans of the series.
00:21More than just a one-to-one remaster of the original,
00:24we're aiming to upgrade much of its system, locations and graphics
00:29to be more in line with modern RPG expectations.
00:33We've been hard at work on Skyblivion since 2016,
00:37but are finally less than a year away from release
00:40and want to give you a special sneak peek of the progress we've made.
00:45As one of the largest fan-made modding projects in Elder Scrolls history,
00:49it's been a long path to get to this point,
00:52but as fans, first and foremost, we want to do our remake right.
00:57So let's dive in, shall we?
01:05We begin our showcase along the westernmost tip of the Gold Coast region of Cyrodiil
01:10in the city of Anvil, the seat of power for County Anvil.
01:14Known for its large harbor teeming with imported wares from Valenwood and Hammerfell,
01:19the city is, at its heart, a trading hub.
01:22When remastering Anvil, we wished to implement the original concepts of the city,
01:27which were imagined around a large central harbor basin.
01:31Our redesign proudly boasts a harbor fit for a city built around maritime trade.
01:37Additionally, we've expanded the bustling docks outside the city walls.
01:43When entering Anvil via the main gate,
01:45you'll find yourself in the West Gate district with its iconic mermaid statue.
01:50Here, you'll find shops to trade the loot you've collected on your travels,
01:55and inns that offer warm meals and cozy quarters,
01:59as well as a new open-air market and alchemy store.
02:02This area serves as Anvil's commercial hub.
02:06To expand upon this, we relocated the only general store, Lels Quality Merchandise,
02:12to this district from its original location outside the city walls.
02:16This is because Anvil originally had but a single store,
02:20the blacksmith, Morvane's Peacemakers.
02:23We've also included an additional store to further enhance the shopping district,
02:28Tide and Tonic, Anvil's new reserve of all things alchemical.
02:34Following the path right, you'll come to the residential district.
02:38Here, Anvil's middle and upper classes live in terraced homes.
02:43At the pinnacle of the residential district stands the estate of the famed Argonian author, Quillweave.
02:50This district is where the residents of Anvil reside after a long day working on the docks,
02:55or communing at the chapel,
02:57and thus we've tried to reflect this in the class distinct clutter you'll find in this part of the city.
03:03Returning back along the harbor, we next visit the Guild Gate district.
03:08Here, one may find the headquarters of the Mages Guild, with its manicured grounds,
03:13and the Fighters Guild, with its practice targets.
03:16Guild Gate also features a harborside warehouse and a shrine to Dibella, the divine matron of the city.
03:23This district overlooks Anvil's inner port,
03:26where wares and supplies are boated into the city via the large ships docked outside.
03:32Here, you'll be able to navigate to either end of the city, close to the water's surface,
03:37with the Guild Gate district looming above.
03:40Continuing along the harbor, we are greeted by the long-abandoned Banaras Manor.
03:45Despite its neglect, and an unsettling eerie quality, the dwelling does have the potential for majesty.
03:54Opposite sits the Anvil Supply Checkpoint, where goods and wares are inventoried before leaving the docks.
04:03The local guard barracks lie further along the main road,
04:06with its imposing structure and training yard keeping Anvil's protectors honed for the fight.
04:12Rounding out of the Chapel Gate district is its namesake, the Chapel of Dibella.
04:17Its lush grounds make up the remainder of the city within the walls.
04:21The sprawling cemetery, dotted with grave markers and tombs,
04:25is a sobering reminder of the danger facing sailors on the high seas.
04:30In reimagining Anvil, we've significantly enhanced the docks and the lower-class quarters,
04:35both located in the dockside district, beyond the protection of the city's mighty walls.
04:41This bustling area is alive, with vendors hawking their wares and seedy inns catering mostly to dock workers.
04:50Alongside the docks can be found the fortified bastion of Anvil Castle,
04:54home to Countess Milona Umbranox, who has ruled since the mysterious disappearance of her husband.
05:01This coastal bulwark's fearsome defensive capacity is rivalled only by the elegance of its splendid halls
05:08and grand balcony offering sweeping views of the ocean.
05:12No showcase of Anvil would be complete without the iconic lighthouse.
05:17Here, on the shores of the Abessian Sea, one can view great stretches of the Gold Coast.
