00:00190 Venezuelans will be arriving at this time here in Caracas.
00:08This is another flight, the second flight of this week of repatriated migrants
00:13under this humanist program of the Return to the Homeland Plan
00:17that brings over 190 men and women, Venezuelan men and women,
00:23who have been persecuted, who have been humiliated, who have been mistreated
00:27in the United States by the U.S. policies of migration imposed by Donald Trump,
00:34the persecution of Venezuelan migrants under the alleged excuse of them belonging to gangs
00:39that were sent supposedly to invade the country, which has been denounced
00:47and condemned out loud by the Venezuelan people and the Venezuelan government.
00:52We have seen in the past weeks how the Venezuelan people have come out and demonstrated in force
00:59against the kidnapping of the Venezuelan migrants that were taken to the high-security prison in El Salvador
01:04and have denounced the mistreatment and the violations of the human rights of Venezuelan migrants abroad.
01:10Thanks to this program that was created by the Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro back in 2018,
01:15Return to the Homeland Plan, which is a plan that only Venezuela has this kind of plan,
01:21that using state-owned company of the state-owned airline Conviasa,
01:26they go and look for the Venezuelans that wish to return to their homeland.
01:30And a call has been made by the Venezuelan government, by the Venezuelan people,
01:34that Venezuela is open and willing to embrace them back again in the homeland to return.
01:40They call for them to return if they so wish, and the doors are going to be open.
01:45All Venezuelans that wish to return are able to do so through this humanistic program
01:49launched by President Nicolas Maduro in 2018 that has benefited over millions of Venezuelans
01:55that have returned through this program.
01:57Only in the year 2025, since the persecution began of the Venezuelan migrants in the United States,
02:04over 2,000 people in what has run of this year 2025 have already returned to the homeland through this program.
02:12And as we were saying, this is the second flight of Venezuelans that returned this week.
02:17Yesterday was the first flight of the week with over 170 Venezuelans that returned to the homeland plan.
02:24The flight that came from Honduras that first flew from the United States to Honduras and did a stopover there
02:31and then from Honduras came back.
02:33Now this flight that is arriving right now, we can see it, the plane on our screen,
02:37it comes straight from the United States.
02:40And I believe this is the third flight to come straight from the United States,
02:43a direct flight from the United States to Caracas.
02:46Last Friday, the same happened, and the Friday before that, also another flight came straight from the United States.
02:53Now in this flight, unofficial figures, and we have to say unofficial figures because the Interior Minister,
03:00Dios Alcabello, has announced several times that there is a mess the way that the United States are conducting these flights,
03:08because they present a list, and when the flights arrive, the number of people that are on the plane does not coincide with that initial list that was provided by the U.S. authorities.
03:19So unofficial figures, we will know the true figure once the plane lands, it says that over 190 Venezuelans are returning right now.
03:29As we are seeing the plane taxiing on the runway as it prepares for the migrants to disembark the plane
03:36and touch with their own fits Venezuelan land, their homeland land, an invitation that has been made by the Venezuelan authorities,
03:44with this calling of Venezuelan migrants that wish to return, to return, to come and work in Venezuela,
03:50to work together with the Venezuelan people here, to make the country prosperous, to continue the development of the country,
03:56and to continue building that great homeland and that dream Venezuela of peace as it has remained a country of peace.
04:06In this context, we have to remind that aside from the Venezuelans migrants that are being persecuted and humiliated in the United States,
04:13there are over 200 Venezuelan migrants that have been kidnapped in El Salvador,
04:19a flight that was taken straight from the U.S. to El Salvador to high-security prison known as SECOT,
04:25which is the prison, the mega-prison that President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, built to imprison allegedly gang members,
04:34and that's where the Venezuelan migrants are without any kind of due process, without any kind of trial,
04:40with any kind of hearing, violating all kinds of rights, and this is something that has been denounced over and over by the Venezuelan authorities
04:46and the Venezuelan people that have, as we were saying, come out in force in large demonstrations.
04:52Going over the numbers, as we said before, over 2,000 Venezuelan migrants have returned from the States in what goes of year
05:04through this humanistic plan that sees for the human rights and for the dignity of the migrants as they return over 2,000 people in what has run over the year 2025.
05:12We live the images at the airport here in Caracas of the plane that is taxing and authorities are waiting for the people to arrive.
05:24Now, we are going to listen to statements from the Venezuelan authority.
05:29Good afternoon, Venezuela. As always, we are complying with the instruction of our President, Nicolas Maduro,
05:35welcoming the return to the homeland flight number 13 of this year 2025, 10 of which have been carried out by our airline Conviasa,
05:45and this is the third one that is executed through a U.S. airline.
05:52In total, there are 191 nationals, of which 16 are women and 175 are men.
06:06With this briefing, we will be reaching to 2,557 con-nationals that return to their homeland,
06:15where they are welcome to join economic activities and social activities of our daily life.
06:23Likewise, according to the study that our authorities have carried out,
06:29our police authorities and migration authorities, out of the 191 nationals that come in this flight,
06:37only, there is only one with an international, there are only two citizens with an international notice of arrest.
06:47Through a request made through a Columbia Interpol, we are going to welcome our co-nationals to fulfill the protocol established
06:58by all the different institutions that comprises this planned return to the homeland,
07:03where we are going to welcome, in an integral way, to quickly follow the fulfillment of the process of the arrival of this airplane
07:17and the checking of all these people that have come, the health check, family check, in what conditions they are arriving,
07:25for them being returned to the daily life of the homeland.
07:29Likewise, those that have any crimes or any criminal record with Venezuelan justice, our state institutions are here,
07:40which will also immediately carry out the pertinent actions to fulfill with the procedures.
07:48So, we are welcoming this flight, and with this, we will be reaching the flight 13, over 2,500 repatriated migrants.
07:58Have a good day.
08:00So, those were the statements of Ramon Velasquez, the Minister of Transportation of Venezuela.
08:07So, the official figure is 191 Venezuelans that are returning. The great majority are men, over 170 are men, and only 13 are women.
08:18And the transport minister was informing that out of the 191 people that are arriving in this flight,
08:28there are only two people with international notice from Interpol, which were notified by Interpol Colombia.
08:34And the minister has always referred to all the protocols that are in place here, and are going to be executed by the different authorities, the different institutions.
08:44And once the migrants disembark the plane, they go through a health check to see their conditions when they are arriving,
08:52they go to the family check, and then they go, of course, the security organizations go over the criminal records,
08:59and anyone that has any kind of record, any kind of pending crime to be analyzed by the justice system,
09:06immediately the authorities, the corresponding authorities, take the actions according to the protocols that have been established.
09:13We should add that all migrants that arrive, that are clear to go through, once they pass the health and security checks,
09:22the government is the one in charge and guarantees the transportation of the migrants back to their homes, back to their families,
09:31which is the core of this action.
