00:01Hello, it's Martin Dempster, the Scotsman Golf Correspondent here, coming to you from a sunny Augusta, Georgia shirt and tie on tonight for an annual affair, the DP World Tour media dinner, which is held at Augusta Country Club, the neighbouring venue to Augusta National and following the Hurricane Helene,
00:28ripping through the Augusta area last September, we're seeing a lot more of Augusta Country Club from the Augusta National Fairways than we did in the past due to so many trees having been brought down in that storm.
00:43Today, Rory McIlroy was among the players in the press building and the Northern Irishman, of course, is here again trying to complete that career Grand Slam and become just the sixth player to do so.
01:00I have to say that McIlroy looked very relaxed indeed, talking about how he's trying to block out what he described, this noise surrounding his quest here, and he's certainly been playing some great golf this season, won twice on the PGA Tour,
01:18the first time he's done that coming into the Masters, and I think it's just all about Rory just trying to treat this as another week, it's not, of course, he knows that, but he certainly seems in a good frame of mind for that opening round on Thursday.
01:37Bob McIntyre, he started out a practice round today on his own, he likes to do that, he talks about himself being a lone wolf, and he gets his work done when he's out on the course on his own,
01:51and with caddy Mike Burrow, he was then joined on the back nine by Ludwig Aedberg, who finished runner-up here 12 months ago on his debut, and of course was a Ryder Cup team-mate, McIntyre, in Rome in 2023.
