In a bold and controversial move, U.S. President Donald Trump, alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has renewed the proposal to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to safer locales and explore the possibility of U.S. control over the region. The two leaders discussed this dramatic plan during their recent meeting, with Trump suggesting that a shift in strategy might end the ongoing Gaza conflict and offer a long-term solution. Will this move reshape the Middle East’s political landscape? What are the implications for Palestinians and global relations? Watch to find out more.

00:00The evil
00:02Church of Hamas in Gaza
00:06Enabling the people of Gaza to freely make a choice to go wherever they want
00:19Relax we have time
00:21Because right now all it is is for years and years all I hear about is killing and Hamas and problems
00:27And if you take the people of the Palestinians
00:31We spoke about not only the hostages
00:35but about Gaza the hostages obviously is a
00:39human story of
00:41just unbearable
00:43Agony, I speak to the families. I spoke to them yesterday
00:47Spoke to another one when I was in Hungary before I came here. I speak to them every day and they're in agony
00:53The hostages are in agony and we want to get them all out
00:58Steve Witkoff
00:59President Trump's very able representative helped us get a deal that got 25 up
01:04We're working now on another deal that we hope will succeed
01:08And we're committed to getting all the hostages out, but also
01:12eliminating the evil
01:15Church of Hamas in in Gaza and
01:19Enabling the people of Gaza to freely make a choice
01:22To go wherever they want. I mean they should have that choice and the president put forward a vision of bold vision
01:28which we discussed as well including the
01:32countries that might
01:34be amenable and are amenable to
01:37Accepting Palestinians of their free choice if they choose to go there, and I think that's the second thing that we discussed
01:44But the hostages came right on top
01:47We also discussed the situation
01:51Mr. President
01:53Mr. President, you are
01:55Mr. President, many of the
01:57Palestinians want to get the hostages
01:59Hold it, hold it, hold it. Relax, we have time
02:01This gentleman is all day long
02:05Mr. President, many of the
02:07Thank you for the question. Go ahead.
02:09Many of the Palestinian Americans have voted for you
02:11and not for Romalia because you've promised them to end the war in Gaza
02:15Very honored by that vote too
02:17The war is still going on and there is no hostage deal
02:19There's no hostage deal.
02:20Do you have any uptake on that?
02:22Well, I'd like to see the war stop.
02:23And I think the war will stop at some point
02:26that won't be in the too distant future.
02:28Right now, we have a problem with hostages.
02:30We're trying to get the hostages out.
02:31We got quite a few of them out, but it's a long process.
02:35It shouldn't be that long.
02:36We have a big problem that we've done.
02:39I think I'll ask Pete to maybe talk about it for a second
02:42because a lot of people are asking.
02:43The Houthis, we've been very tough
02:45and very successful militarily.
02:49The IDF is fighting to get in the Gaza Strip.
02:51I myself might be called up in a month.
02:52Do you think that's the way to pressure Hamas
02:54to get to a deal?
02:55And do you think blocking humanitarian aid
02:57is also an effective pressure?
02:58Well, you know how I feel about the Gaza Strip.
03:00I think it's an incredible piece of important real estate.
03:05And I think it's something that we would be involved in,
03:09but having a peace force like the United States there
03:13controlling and owning the Gaza Strip would be a good thing
03:17because right now, all it is is for years and years,
03:20all I hear about is killing and Hamas and problems.
03:23And if you take the people, the Palestinians,
03:26and move them around to different countries,
03:28and you have plenty of countries that will do that,
03:31and you really have a freedom zone.
03:34You call it the freedom zone, a free zone,
03:37a zone where people aren't gonna be killed every day.
03:39That's a hell of a place.
03:42It's a, you know what I call it?
03:43A great location that nobody wants to live in
03:46because they really don't.
03:47And when they have good living, real living,
03:51where Hamas and all of the problems they have,
03:54the level of death on the Gaza Strip is just incredible.
03:59And I've said it, I don't understand
04:02why Israel ever gave it up.
04:03Israel owned it.
04:04It wasn't this man, so I can say it.
04:06He wouldn't have given it up.
04:07I know him very well.
04:09There's no way.
04:10They took oceanfront property
04:12and they gave it to people for peace.
04:14How did that work out?
04:15Not good.
04:16Is there an immigration plan, sir, Mr. President?
04:18Is there an immigration plan still on the agenda?
04:22Which immigration?
04:23Trump-Gaza.
04:24Trump-Gaza.
04:26All it is is a concept that I had that I think is good,
04:29and now people are copying it.
04:31You know, people are talking about the Trump plan.
04:34Gee, why don't we do that?
04:36Would you like to answer that question?
04:38I think what the president talked about
04:40is first of all to give people a choice.
04:43Gaza, Gazans were closed in.
04:46And any other place, including in arenas of battle,
04:49I mean, whether it's Ukraine or Syria or any other place,
04:52people could leave.
04:54Gaza was the only place where they locked them in.
04:57We didn't lock them in.
04:58They're locked in.
04:59And what is wrong with giving people a choice?
05:03Now, we've been talking, including over lunch,
05:06about some countries, I won't go into them right now,
05:10that are saying, you know, if Gazans want to leave,
05:13we want to take them in.
05:14And I think this is, this is the right thing to do.
05:18If you give, you know, it's gonna take years
05:20to rebuild Gaza.
05:21In the meantime, people can have an option.
05:23The president has a vision.
05:24Countries are responding to that vision.
05:26We're working on it.
05:27I hope we'll have good news for you.
05:29I will say people love, excuse me,
05:32people really do love that vision.
05:35It's a long-term vision, but so importantly
05:38is to have that be a safe field,
05:42because you're right smack in the middle
05:44of the Middle East, you're right along Israel.
05:46It should have never, ever been given away.
05:48Shouldn't have been given away by Israel.
05:50I don't know why they did it.
05:52I mean, I do know why, because they were promised peace,
05:54but that didn't work out too well,
05:55because it's one of the most dangerous pieces of land
05:58anywhere in the world.
06:00Gaza's one of the most dangerous places in the world.
06:03So they gave it away for good intention,
06:05and it didn't work out that way.
06:07And a lot of people like my concept,
06:11but you know, there are other concepts that I like too.
06:14And there's some concepts I don't like.
06:15You know what I don't like?
06:16The way it is now, because right now
06:18it's a dangerous death trap, Gaza.
