00:00I'm thrilled to welcome to the White House very special people, actually, very talented people,
00:07the 2024 World Series champion, the Los Angeles Dodgers.
00:17And I want to congratulate you on a legendary season, and I watched it very closely.
00:23Some of those teams were home teams, and you did a big number. You're really amazing.
00:29We have a couple of senators here. I just don't particularly like them, so I won't introduce.
00:37Over the course of this amazing season, the members of this team.
00:50I didn't think it was that big a deal, actually.
00:54It's Washington. But unanimous National League MVP, Shohei Ohtani.
01:12Looks like a movie star. You showed America that it's not about individual glory,
01:17it's about the team digging deep and sprinting right through first base,
01:21and you did that all the time. I watch some games. I love baseball. I don't get to watch
01:26as much as I'd like, but you always see a spirit on this team. I think a lot of that has to do with
01:31the ownership and the management, frankly. But you see a spirit on the Dodgers that you don't
01:36see with a lot of teams. A lot of teams I turn on, I say, oh, let's forget it. When I turn on
01:42the Dodgers, I like to watch the team. And now that I've gotten to meet these guys personally,
01:47I like it even more. Well, thank you very much. We're very pleased to participate in the
01:56tradition of bringing champions to the White House.
02:01Last season was an incredible season. We won the World Series.
02:04Second time since 2020, and only eight times in our seasons or our history.
