00:00Eraserhead's frontman Eli Buendia announces that Marcos Adoro will not be joining the
00:06band's upcoming music festival due to sexual abuse allegations against the guitarist.
00:11Buendia says in a post, quote,
00:13"...we acknowledge the recent allegations that have surfaced online.
00:17As proponents of justice, we unequivocally condemn all criminal acts and stand against
00:21abuse of any form.
00:23Above all, we seek the truth."
00:24He then adds that Adoro is working to address the issue and will step back from a, quote,
00:29"...upcoming project, likely the Eraserhead's Electric Fun Music Festival, on May 31."
00:35In late March, a Reddit user accused Adoro of rape when the person was still in high
00:38school and that he also raped countless other women.
00:42However, this is not the first time Adoro faced grave abuse allegations.
00:46In 2019, his daughter, singer-songwriter Syd Hartha, spoke up about the abuse she experienced.
00:52In 2022, when the band announced their reunion concert, fans called for Adoro to be excluded
00:57from the show.
00:58As of this posting, Adoro has yet to issue a statement.
