00:03The London Landmarks is a closed-road central London run
00:06and is the only half marathon to go through both the City of London and City of Westminster.
00:12The event, organised by pregnancy and baby charity Tommies,
00:16saw over 20,000 runners this morning start on Downing Street
00:19and pass 17 of London's most impressive landmarks including Big Ben,
00:24the Shard, Tower Bridge and St Paul's.
00:27This half marathon has annually been taking place since 2018
00:31and has raised a staggering £50 million in donations so far.
00:35The London Landmarks Half Marathon is more than just a run.
00:39Along the route is entertainment including steel bands,
00:42a pride party, DJ stations and dance acts.
00:46The half marathon, which finishes in Trafalgar Square,
00:48has also partnered with many other charities including Cancer Research UK
00:53and Alzheimer's Research UK.
00:55Representative stands and displays for these charities can be seen along the route.
