00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Thursday morning, which is
00:03sunny for most. However, there is a fly in the ointment down towards the
00:08southwest. We watch as a succession of very weak occlusions just circulates
00:14around and just pushes across the southwest of the country, extending
00:19towards Northern Ireland, in fact, through the early hours of Friday
00:22morning. Elsewhere, high pressure casting an influence from the north of Scotland,
00:26but quite a squeeze on the ice of ours through today, as well as tomorrow. So
00:31some breezy, if not windy, weather and cool along this east coast with the wind
00:35coming in from a cold North Sea. Through this morning, watch out for some low
00:39cloud, but it will tend to melt away. One or two showers likely first thing across
00:44Devon and Cornwall, a stronger wind down here and a breeze elsewhere. A lighter
00:49wind across central and eastern areas of Scotland after a chilly start. You'll see
00:53some lovely sunshine, more cloud for Shetland. Another cluster of showery rain
00:57arrives later across more southwestern parts of England and Wales. Temperatures
01:02though coming in around 20 degrees Celsius, where you see that sunshine and
01:05in shelter from that east to northeasterly wind. And that will be with
01:10us through this evening and overnight. Yet again, some showery bursts likely
01:15extending towards Wales, pushing northwards towards Northern Ireland.
01:17Elsewhere, clearer skies overnight, so that onshore breeze along the eastern
01:21side and more cloud moves in across the north and the east of Scotland as we
01:25head through tomorrow morning. A cold start to the day under some clearer
01:29skies across central Scotland. One or two showery bits to start the day across
01:33Northern Ireland, but it will clear up and you'll see some lovely sunshine.
01:36Sunshine elsewhere as well, but the winds shifted round to a northeasterly
01:40direction, so cool along this east coast inland. 20, perhaps even a 22 down
01:45towards the south coast. We could see more cloud first thing on Saturday. That
01:49cold northeast wind covering most of the country, so it's going to be a cooler
01:53day. Still warming some sunshine towards the west there, as the cloud burns back
01:57to the coast. 9 or 10 along this coastline here, 13 down towards East
02:02Anglia. We could see a 15 or 16 further west. Here's your outlook through Sunday
02:06and now another day to be out and about enjoying that lovely April sunshine, but
02:11temperatures will be a lot lower than today. I'll see you later. Have a good day.
