00:00Hello there and welcome to your Wednesday evening weather update from the Met Office.
00:05Now through tomorrow yet again there will be a lot of sunshine around, quite a brisk
00:09wind particularly across more central and southern areas, all courtesy of high pressure
00:13sitting towards the north. Areas of showery rain though will just come and go across the
00:18south-west extending towards Northern Ireland into the early hours of Friday morning and
00:23with an onshore breeze along this eastern side feeling a bit cool despite the sunshine.
00:28The warmest will be in the west and that's where you'll see the highest temperatures.
00:32Now through this evening and overnight a little cloud comes and goes, we could see more cloud
00:37across Shetland as well. A few showers brew across the English Channel and there's quite
00:42a breeze down here, stronger wind than affecting southern counties as we head through the night.
00:47Elsewhere some clearer skies even with a touch of frost across central and eastern areas
00:52of Scotland to start the day, a bit cool also for places such as Northern Ireland in Shelter
00:56where temperatures will dip down to mid-single figures. First thing tomorrow morning then,
01:01one or two showers possible across the south-west. Elsewhere any cloud tending to melt away quite
01:07quickly. It's going to be a lovely day for most with some gorgeous sunshine coming through.
01:12Now showery bursts of rain will continue to extend across more southern and south-western
01:17areas of England and Wales as we head through to the afternoon and into evening time. But
01:22in Shelter 19 for the Moray Firth, 16 for Northern Ireland, 20 down towards the south-east
01:27as well as Northern Council of England away from this east coast where temperatures will
01:30be pegged back to around the mid-teens. So expect some showers as we head through tomorrow
01:35evening. Strongest winds will be towards the south-west and these showers could just clip
01:40Northern Ireland into the early hours of that Friday morning. Elsewhere it's a fine start
01:44to the day. More clouds across the far north-east of Scotland. The cloud will break up towards
01:49the west and yet again we'll be bathed in some lovely April sunshine. But the winds
01:54shifted around to a north-easterly direction so cool along that east coast inland up to
01:59around 20, even 21 degrees Celsius. But watch out for the breeze, it really will take the
02:03edge of those temperatures as we head through the afternoon. Now on Saturday temperatures
02:08will be pegged back even more, probably 16 or 17 generally. But single figures along
02:13that east coast of Scotland where you'll see more in the way of cloud. Cloudy conditions
02:16first seeing burning back to the coast. Sundays looking fine and dry and temperatures typically
02:21around 12 to 15 Celsius. See you later.
