00:00No one knows I'm pregnant, but I am.
00:02Congratulations.
00:05Thanks.
00:05Thanks.
00:06Thanks.
00:07Teen Mom star Mackenzie McKee is expanding her family.
00:10The reality star announced on the Drew Barrymore Show
00:13that she is pregnant and expecting twins.
00:16You're going to have,
00:19is that okay?
00:20There's two in there.
00:21There's two in there.
00:22It's twins.
00:23It's twins.
00:23It's twins.
00:24It's twins.
00:25It's twins.
00:26It's twins.
00:27And you met a wonderful man.
00:28Yes.
00:30And you want to share this experience with him.
00:33You want to raise kids in love.
00:35You love him.
00:36You're excited for this journey.
00:39It was planned.
00:43Finally.
00:44The 30 year old has been documenting her IVF journey
00:47with her fiance on Teen Mom, the next chapter this season.
00:52The reality star is also mom to three children
00:54whom she shares with her ex.
00:56This season on the hit reality show,
00:58a lot has been shown with Mackenzie and her co-stars.
01:01Access Hollywood previously spoke with Leah, Caitlin
01:05and Macy about their journeys on the show.
01:08And I feel like that's something
01:09that this show has been really important.
01:12I feel like about 16 and pregnant,
01:14but also Teen Mom in general,
01:15like showing these types of situations to younger girls
01:19or a younger audience that maybe wouldn't have been exposed
01:22to these types of things,
01:23just to see the reality of what it's like to be a Teen Mom.
01:28What is it like knowing that you've had this impact
01:30on so many people?
01:31I think it's awesome.
01:33Fulfilling.
01:34Yeah, you're perfect.
01:36I feel like it's rare to have the opportunity
01:40to really, really change the world.
01:44And so it's definitely been a blessing.
01:48And I think like one of the most amazing things I've ever,
01:50like I hear is when parents will write to me
01:53or even if they see me somewhere,
01:55they'll say like, your show really helped me
01:59start having the conversation with my children
02:01because we would watch things
02:02and then after the show, we would talk about it all.
02:04So I feel like it also helped parents kind of open the door
02:07to the awkward conversations,
02:09but their teens were so invested in it.
02:10They were just like willing to talk about it
02:12and use some of our stories as examples
02:15and things to talk about.
02:16Like that's awesome.
02:18And I really feel like the show was like revolutionary
02:21in a way.
02:21I remember when it very first came out,
02:23everyone was like scandalized by it
02:26and like didn't understand what it was about
02:27until they actually saw it.
02:28And I remember my mom was like,
02:30I don't know if I want you to watch this.
02:31And then she like watched it and she's like,
02:32oh, this is probably good for you to watch.
02:34Like, you know, as I was a young teen
02:36when I started watching it.
02:39And I just, I feel like the impact,
02:41like sometimes people don't actually,
02:43like they think of it as a reality show,
02:44but they don't really think of the impact
02:46that it could have on so many young people.
02:49I think that's really-
02:50I think that's really noticed sometimes
02:52because it really has,
02:53look at the statistics of teen pregnancy rates.
02:55Well, and they showed that our show in fact helped
02:59lower the teen pregnancy rate
03:00to the lowest that it's ever been.
03:02And you know, like this is the reason
03:04why we all started to do the show
03:05and that's the reason why production
03:06started to make the show
03:07was because something needed to change.
03:09There was a huge problem going on
03:11of just young teens not being educated
03:14and finding themselves in unplanned pregnancies.
03:16And so we all were like, wow, we could probably,
03:19if we show the reality and the real struggles
03:21and the real life of what it's like,
03:23maybe we can make a difference.
03:24And to know that it has is really awesome.
