00:00Visited the New Clark City Aquatic Center this Tuesday,

00:03the Philippine-Australian Cliff Diver, Zantia Pinisi,

00:07and Ukrainian Diver, Oleksii Prigorov,

00:10to celebrate the media day of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2025

00:15held in El Nido, Palawan from April 11 to 13.

00:19Here is the story of teammate, Daryl Oclares.

00:2210 days before the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2025,

00:32the media day was held for the world-class divers Zantia Pinisi and Oleksii Prigorov

00:38at the New Clark City Aquatic Center in Kapastarlak this Tuesday.

00:43The Philippine-Australian Pinisi was able to return to the international cliff diving scene

00:50while Prigorov defended the title he won at the Sydney Tourstop in November.

00:57So before they joined the competition,

00:59the two cliff divers visited Tarlac for a press conference

01:04and to teach and inspire the Philippine diving team.

01:09At the press conference, Pinisi and Prigorov shared their message to our national divers.

01:16And it's really amazing to see that the sport is growing here.

01:20I know it's really hard because there isn't much funding in the Philippines for diving

01:24and it's a very small community.

01:26But I think that's also a benefit for them.

01:28They can really support each other

01:30and because they're one of the few in the Philippines that can really shine from other sports.

01:35You know, diving is a very different and beautiful sport

01:38and I think a lot of people love watching it because of that.

01:42Same with St. Joseph's.

01:43I think that I would like just to say that diving is really, in particular, a sport that everyone can do.

01:49It's really, you know, everyone can do it.

01:52So, just keep going.

01:56The more discipline there are, the more amazing sport it will be.

02:02Pinisi and Prigorov also had the opportunity to teach the Philippine diving team

02:08the basics when it comes to cliff diving

02:10which is different from regular diving

02:12because you should put your feet down first instead of your head.

02:16That's why the Philippine diving team head coach, Marie Dimanche, was very thankful

02:20because she had the opportunity to mentor two of the best divers in the world.

02:28It's really a big thing because they're exposed to world-class athletes

02:35and then the experience of the older athletes is greater

02:40so they can share their advice, especially when it comes to other sports.

02:45So, our divers, although some of the kids that we saw dive

02:51have already competed in international competitions,

02:54the younger ones haven't.

02:56So, it's a good exposure for the kids.

03:00After the opener in El Nido, Palawan,

03:03the next three editions of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series will be held in Italy

03:09on June 28 to 29,

03:11in Bosnia and Herzegovina on September 5 to 6,

03:15and in Boston, United States on September 19 and 20.
