00:00What can you tell us about Josh Young?
00:16Is he going to be all right?
00:17Yeah, I'm waiting on a medical update today.
00:20He was seeing a doctor today just to make sure.
00:24The original exams did not show anything structurally.
00:27So we anticipate, really, that he'll be ready at the end of this 10-day period.
00:33You never know.
00:34The body's a tricky thing, and we'll certainly continue to monitor him.
00:37But I think over the next couple of days, we expect him to turn the corner.
00:40We probably just pushed it a little too fast and didn't get it right, and then he had the
00:44one diving play, and it kind of jarred it.
00:47I think this time it's prudent to get it right and make sure he's 100% before we put him
00:51back in competition.
00:53CY, you have a lot of faith in Josh Smith.
00:57Even though he was struggling at times, you guys stuck with him.
01:01It has to be just a comfort to know that you have depth like that if, in fact, with Young
01:06going down, that you can plug somebody in like that, and it's a silver slugger type
01:10of a player.
01:11Well, completely.
01:12I mean, Josh had a tremendous first half last year, a little bit in the second half struggled,
01:19but that's normal.
01:21But yes, to have that level, that caliber of player to play short or third base when
01:28Corey or JJ needs a break.
01:31The hope is that we get Zeke Duran back to his best self, too.
01:35If you have Zeke and Smitty playing the left side, it's not too much of a fall-off, but
01:41from Corey to JJ.
01:43I think that's our goal, is that we've got to get Zeke going.
01:46We feel great with Smitty.
01:47Over the course of the year, these guys are going to need breaks, much less they're going
01:51to get injured.
01:52So we need to make sure that we protect them and have really solid, good depth options
01:57behind them.
