00:16claiming his song, KNB, was used by Kibuloy's team without his consent.
00:20Meantime, Lola Amor on March 29 called out campaigns for using their hit song, Raining
00:25in Manila, as a jingle without their consent.
00:28In a comment on their Facebook post, the band adds, they would never endorse a candidate
00:32whose platform they didn't believe in or know.
00:34This is not the first time the band has encountered alleged intellectual property theft.
00:38In October 2023, the same song was used in campaigns for the Barangay and Sangguniang
00:42Kabataan elections.
00:44Groups released statements to raise awareness about intellectual property rights during
00:48the campaign period.
00:49In February 2022, music copyright group Philzcap reminded campaigns they need artists' permission
00:55to play copyrighted songs, use as background music or change the lyrics for a candidate.
