00:00Firstly, can I repeat, thank you all for being here. It is really good. We decided to have
00:06something like this very soon after the election and actually to see it come to fruition today
00:11is really excellent and I think we've got over 40 countries here. I think on organised
00:16immigration crime that's the biggest ever gathering of countries that there's ever been
00:20and from different areas along the smuggling route so it's really fantastic. All of you
00:26know just how serious a problem this is. Nobody can be blind to that, but serious problems
00:35require serious solutions which is why I'm really pleased that we've got some concrete
00:39proposals on the table today. I think we have to start from the fact that this is a vile
00:44trade. It is being run by gangs, we all know this, who are making a huge amount of money
00:51out of misery of other people, a huge amount of money and they're only interested in one
00:55thing which is money. There are gangs, we have gangs that are running other things,
00:59we have gangs that are running gun running, drug running, people smuggling, terrorist
01:05gangs and we've got to stop this business of thinking that this gang that are people
01:12smuggling are somehow different to all the other gangs, the only gangs that can't be
01:16touched in the same way. I don't believe that, I've never believed that.
