The double concept album "The survival of St. Joan" was the first American rock opera album and was also the only album released by US progressive rock band Smoke Rise. The theme of the album was about the trials and tribulations of St. Joan. The sound is a nice mix of acoustic and electric progressive rock, including some psych, pop, country, and heavy rock sounds as well, with four part vocals.
