Gladstone - album Gladstone 1972

  • ieri
The first album by Texian country-rock-pop band Gladstone led by vocalist H. L. Voelker and guitarist Doug Rhone. The album was originally released with two different design options. In one of them the sleeve depicted peacefully grazing bisons, and the inscription "From down home in Tyler, Texas USA" was taken by many listeners as the title of the album. In the alternative version, the cover showed a house in a village and except for the name "Gladsrone", no inscriptions were made. Very melodic and nice vocal harmonies, the sound is basically rural flavored rock, and country rock, with hints of Southern rock.
