00:14Three weeks after the implementation of the maximum suggested retail price on pork,

00:19the pork vendors are still getting angry at their markets in Metro Manila.

00:24Kasim is Php 360 to Php 370 and Liempo is Php 390 to Php 420 at Murphy Public Market in Quezon City.

00:33The pork vendors are angry because they are not able to sell the other parts of the pork and that's why they have a loss here.

00:39They need to compensate for the price of Kasim and Liempo.

00:43We are just giving it away. But it is included in the weight of the pork that we are paying.

00:49In Pasay Public Market, Kasim is Php 340 to Php 360 while Liempo is Php 380 to Php 420.

00:57As long as the farm does not go down, our suppliers will not lower the price.

01:03But according to Pork Producers Federation of the Philippines, they are obeying the request of the Department of Agriculture.

01:10From Php 260 per kilo, they lowered the farm gate price of pork to Php 230 per kilo.

01:17They also have a high production cost.

01:20Our expenses for biosecurity are high because we don't want the pigs to get sick

01:27because of the high level of disease that ASF is bringing.

01:32The pig count is also rising.

01:35If the local pork has a maximum SRP, it should also be divided into imported pork.

01:41We are still trying to get permission from the DA about this.

01:46The price of fish in Pasay Public Market has already gone down.

01:50Galunggong used to be Php 300 per kilo.

01:53Now, it is only Php 140 to Php 180 per kilo.

01:57The price of bangus, tilapia, and dalagang bukit also went down.

02:01There are more fish now because the weather is hot.

02:05But Galunggong in Murphy Public Market is still reaching Php 240 to Php 360 per kilo.

02:12The seller said that he refused to be interviewed in front of the camera because he is from Lucena, Quezon.

02:18It went down to Php 480 per kilo.
