00:00Let's start off with Philadelphia, where they signed Jordan Romano a couple of years ago,
00:04was arguably one of the very best closers in fantasy baseball.
00:08He's now on the Phillies.
00:09He's already blown one, given up two runs.
00:11And, yeah, like, I mean, the options are, it seems like the same options for Philadelphia
00:17are there every year, right?
00:19Like, Jose Alvarado, he's back again.
00:23Strom, back there again, too.
00:26So, and this kid, Kerkering, I don't know, does he even have a second pitch?
00:29I guess that's, I think eventually they would love to hand it over to him.
00:33He throws so hard.
00:34But, you know, Romano's got some good pitch here.
00:37I'm not really particularly worried about it.
00:39But, yeah, you have to wonder when a player misses so much time if he can come back and
00:43be the same guy.
00:44I guess that's the concern for Romano.
00:47Yeah, he only threw about half his pitches for strikes as well, so he had no goal control
00:50in the zone there.
00:52It was the eighth inning he came in, not the ninth, so it wasn't even a safe situation.
00:56And as you sort of went over there, they really don't have a closer.
00:58Romano may be, I guess, the leader, if you want to put it that way.
01:02But for a team that's as good as the Phillies are, for them not to have that lockdown ace,
01:07number one closer, is a little surprising here.
01:10Romano sort of lost a job last year with Toronto.
01:12Had injuries, struggles as well, so not a surprise here.
01:15But this is looking like a situation where, fine, if I had to pick one, it probably would
01:20be Romano, but I don't see him keeping the job all year.
01:23I don't see him keeping the job all month, you know, that sort of thing, where I can't
01:26rely on him at all.
01:28With my tiering system, he would have been probably the bottom of the second tier, and
01:31now he might be going close to the third tier, where it's just mud against the wall, see
01:35what happens here.
01:37I don't mind you still rostering him, and I would still roster him if I had him, but
01:41I don't think he's keeping his job all year long.
01:42I just don't see it.
