00:00Uh, so I have seen a ton of like the predictions and you know, obviously everyone seems to
00:25be very, very high on the Rangers this year and they would be another team that goes from
00:30a losing record to first place.
00:33It just happens just about every year, uh, in the sport.
00:35Are you seeing the same thing?
00:37I'll tell you what I think that the American league West could be a very, uh, tight competition
00:46this year.
00:47Uh, when you, when you consider what's happened in the off season, I think the Rangers, you
00:52know, probably did more, uh, to improve themselves than anybody else in the division, but you
00:57still have to deal with a Houston team that is going to be excellent.
01:02The Seattle team that didn't do anything in the, uh, uh, off season to improve its offense,
01:09but still has, you know, one of the best starting rotations in all of baseball and, and the
01:15athletics team, can we call them Sacramento, can we call them Las Vegas, uh, and athletics
01:22team that I think is going to be a lot better than people maybe give them credit for on
01:29paper, uh, which is going to, again, make the division more competitive.
01:34So I think it's wide open.
01:36I think it's there for the taking.
01:38Um, and I'm excited about what the Rangers did as far as, you know, the additions of
01:44Jock Peterson and Jake Berger and Kyle Higashioka, and the prospect of having Josh Young fully
01:51healthy, uh, in this season.
01:53Um, you know, the, the Rangers were in the bottom third last year, as far as slugging
01:58was concerned, um, they were about 20 points below league average, uh, in that regard.
02:04And I think that, uh, you know, things are pointing up as far as, uh, you know, doing
02:10what most offenses want to do now, and that's slug.
