00:00The temporary release of former President Rodrigo Duterte for his birthday tomorrow is very suspicious.

00:07Meanwhile, the authorities placed a tight security for the prayer rally in Davao City

00:13as part of the celebration of the former President's birthday.

00:16The details are reported by Harley Balbuena of PTV Manila.

00:21The security that Davao City Police will put in place for the prayer rally in Lungsod tomorrow, March 28,

00:32along with the 80th birthday of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

00:36According to Davao City Police Spokesperson Police Captain Hazel Tuazon,

00:40they will send 1,800 people to guard the 100,000 people who are expected to be released from Freedom Park.

00:49All belongings will be inspected and backpacks and other valuables will be prohibited.

00:57Border checkpoints will also be placed to strictly monitor all those who will enter Davao City,

01:03especially those who are expected to participate in the prayer rally.

01:08As of now, the police have not yet monitored any security measures in the prayer rally

01:14scheduled from 3 pm to 10 pm.

01:18And from Davao City Police Office, we have 1,800 personnel who will be deployed in five sectors

01:24in the area where the rally will be held tomorrow.

01:28Part of that, sir, is that backpacks are not allowed.

01:31Also, the water container should be visible, sir.

01:36Bladed weapon inside the event, sir, is really prohibited.

01:39And then, we have dedicated PNP personnel who will check the valuables that are prohibited, sir.

01:46Meanwhile, the International Law Expert, Atty. Tony Lavinia,

01:51explained that it is impossible for the outgoing birthday release of the former President,

01:55which was first mentioned by some fact-checking bodies, to be fake news.

02:00According to Lavinia,

02:01after the disclosure of evidence by the prosecution and defense team,

02:06Duterte's camp will only receive an application for an interim release.

02:12If it is denied, it is possible that it will be asked in August or September for the ICC to decide.

02:18Despite this, Lavinia still believes that the interim release of the former President can be approved.

02:25And there won't be any decision until August, maybe September, right?

02:30But I doubt strongly if he will be given an interim release because he is a flight risk.
