02:04Yesterday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority arrested 15 public utility jeepneys

02:10by the members of Manibela, part of Connecticut Corner, EDSA,

02:15while they were protesting.

02:19The jeepneys were issued with violation tickets due to illegal parking and obstruction near the DOTR building.

02:27Connecticut Street is part of Mabuhay Lanes, an alternative route for EDSA to expand and expand the road in Calacang, Manila.

02:36According to MMDA Chairman Atty. Romando Don Artes,

02:39the government respects the right of every citizen to have freedom of movement,

02:44but this should not be done or should be done in a quiet and unauthorized manner to our fellow motorists.
