00:00Everyone in the White House today is walking on eggshells, wondering if President Trump
00:04is going to pop off and fire National Security Advisor Mike Walz.
00:08Why?
00:09Well, for creating a signal group text that included what looked like pretty sensitive
00:14war plans, then adding a reporter to the thread.
00:17Here are four dynamics to watch as this scandal sucks up all the oxygen in Washington.
00:22Number one, everyone's pissed.
00:24A top Trump ally told me last night, quote, everyone in the White House can agree on one
00:29thing, Mike Walz is a f***ing idiot, but ultimately it's going to be up to President
00:34Trump.
00:35And I'm told that he's going to make this decision based on the TV coverage of this
00:38embarrassing scandal.
00:39This morning, the president said he's sticking with Walz and that he has confidence in him,
00:43but I am told that that could actually change on a dime.
00:46Number two, MAGA versus the Hawks.
00:48Walz is already viewed with suspicion by a lot of people in the administration who are
00:52more isolationist America first type people.
00:55Some see this as the perfect excuse to sideline him, but more traditional hawkish Republicans,
01:01including a lot of them on the Hill, they see Walz as an ally and they're actually
01:04starting to circle the wagons to protect him.
01:06Case in point, Speaker Mike Johnson.
01:09Here's the thing.
01:10I'm told that even if Walz survives this scandal, he has actually already lost the
01:13trust of a lot of his colleagues in the administration.
01:16People are always going to wonder, is he leaking things to this reporter?
01:19Does he often talk to other reporters?
01:21Number three, amateur hour.
01:23Let's make one thing clear.
01:25Walz is not the only person under the gun here.
01:28There were 18 people on the signal chain, 18 top Trump officials.
01:33And finally, remember Locker Up?
01:36Republicans tormented Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server and what
01:40that meant in terms of classified documents.
01:42Now they're rushing to defend the administration.
01:45Democrats, of course, on the other hand, they're pouncing on this controversy after they defended
01:49Clinton.
01:50Guys, only in Washington.
01:55He said, you know, you have a 440.
