00:00I feel like you've got your own superpower already, because you're like ageless.
00:04It's true, I don't age.
00:15No, I didn't have a 40 meltdown. I haven't, I, no, I feel like, much like the Arctic,
00:23my meltdown is a slow melt over a long period of time. There's a lot of, there's a lot of
00:30climate change and global warming going on inside of me right now, so I figure by the
00:36time I'm 50, I'm just going to be all liquid.
00:54When I was 14, I had a surprise party, and I had never, and I'll never forget that feeling of
01:02walking in and really being surprised, and it, it was incredible.
01:16When did you decide you wanted to be an actor?
01:19When I was 17, I think was, that was probably the time I really said, this is what I'm going to do,
01:29and I'm going to try and pursue it. I always liked, in school, plays, and, and performing,
01:36but around that time, I thought, I'm going to try and make a, I think I want to try and make a career
01:41out of this.
01:58When you decide to get serious, there's only one place to come, the games of Super Nintendo.
02:11Did you ever think way back when you were doing Clueless and Friends and all that, you would be
02:30a superhero?
02:32I had, back then, I had only ever hoped to be a working actor for the rest of my life.
02:41When did you realize you wanted to be an actor?
02:54I have a son, and I do have a, a, kind of a male, like, you know, we'll look at each other, just go,
03:05and stick together, bud, because this is nuts going on over here, and my father and I had that,
03:10too, and it's great.
03:40Do you want to go back to being 20?
04:00No, I don't want to go back to being 20.
04:03I don't, I don't want to, I just, I've done that, and I like, I like the, I like knowing myself
04:15more, and having, you know, and I've had 20, you know, years of experience from that point under
04:21my belt, and there's good and bad, and, you know, you learn from that, and I don't want to have to
04:26learn all of that stuff again.
04:36I dreamt about it when I was a kid, but not in, like, a movie,
04:40just in real life, and I would run around the house, kind of with a towel on, like it was a cape,
04:46um, but I stopped doing that by the time I hit 20.
04:58I remember being a kid, and, you know, walking the boulevard, and reading the names, and
05:05thinking about what so many other millions of people thought about, which is, you know, like,
05:11who's that? Uh, and the fact that millions of people are going to be able to now see
05:18me and ask that same question for time immemorial, uh, is, is humbling, uh, beyond belief.
05:28Just to be a part of something that's so recognizable, and has such a passionate fan base,
05:33uh, has changed my, just my day-to-day, you know, I, uh, before Ant-Man, most, I wouldn't,
05:42most kids wouldn't know who I was.
05:57When I heard that Jason Reitman was going to be doing a new version in the fall,
06:05and my agents called him and said, hey, Jason, we hear there's a part of a young,
06:10semi-young, strapping man that needs to be cast, who you gonna call? When I heard
06:19they were going to call me, well, as you can imagine, I nearly slimed myself.
06:27It's weird.
