It's time for guys to embrace their bodies — that's the message of this body positive influencer.

00:02broad-shouldered you have to have a washboard abs a perfectly chiseled jawline and whatever that little V thing is is
00:12Suffocating my name's Stevie Blaine and F pretty my differences are what make me beautiful
00:18There is not enough male body positivity out there
00:21I could only name you a handful of guys that openly talk about
00:25Their body and their journey to becoming body positive men have body insecurities just like everybody else
00:31The only thing is we never talk about them because it's seen as not being manly or seen as not being masculine

00:51This has been the hardest thing for me ever. It's not going anywhere
01:03I remember in PE class you would look at other children as you got dressed
01:07And I would just wonder like why don't I look the same as them?
01:10Why do I have like a fuller figure like I looked in magazines newspapers TV movies?
01:16All I found was the exact same type of guy being represented
01:20Why straight washboard abs and a jawline longer than my life expectancy I did
01:26Slim fast weight watchers. I went to the gym
01:30I did every fat exercise you could think of and all that did was make me feel worse about myself
01:34I was like okay my whole life has been about being skinny
01:38I've devoted my entire purpose to losing weight, and I haven't actually been living
01:57To me being a man means being honest and not just showing everyone this rugged tough exterior that society expects men to show
02:05I'll get loads of guys who I would probably never come into contact with on my day-to-day life
02:09Coming to me on Instagram and DMing me saying you know
02:12Thank you for providing me the space to openly talk about my body because I can't do this in my day-to-day life
02:18and that's so so heartbreaking that we instantly force guys and men and boys into the box of
02:25Never being able to talk about how it is you feel body positivity isn't like a destination
02:29I can't give you some tip that will suddenly be like great. I love my back rolls and belly fat
02:34I'm brilliant now. It's a journey. It takes time. There's still days
02:38But I'll wake up and I want to put on a hoodie
02:40that's four times my size because I don't want to bring any attention to my body because I'm so insecure and
02:45Those days do happen. Nobody is a hundred percent in love with their body all of the time and that's perfectly
02:51okay beauty truly exists within diversity and
02:55Everybody regardless is beautiful and it's society's perception of beautiful. That's the problem not our bodies
