00:00We've heard from countless members of the FBI that say very different things.
00:10In regard to the termination of the former FBI Director Comey, the president over the last
00:16several months lost confidence in Director Comey. The DOJ lost confidence in Director Comey.
00:22Bipartisan members of Congress made it clear that they had lost confidence in Director Comey.
00:29And most importantly, the rank and file of the FBI had lost confidence in their director.
00:36Accordingly, the president accepted the recommendation of his deputy attorney general
00:40to remove James Comey from his position. There's a special agent who's inside who wrote us who said
00:46the vast majority of the bureau is in favor of Director Comey. This is a total shock. This is
00:51not supposed to happen. The real losers here are 20,000 frontline people in the organization
00:56because they lost the only guy working here in the past 15 years who actually cared about them.
01:02So what's your response to these rank and file FBI agents who disagree with your contention that
01:07they lost faith in Director Comey? Look, we've heard from countless members of the FBI that
01:13say very different things.
01:32Sarah, you said from the podium yesterday that Director Comey had lost the confidence
01:36of the rank and file of the FBI. On Capitol Hill today, the acting director of the FBI,
01:41Andrew McCabe, directly contradicted that. What led you in the White House to believe that
01:47he had lost the confidence of the rank and file of the FBI when the acting director says it's
01:52exactly the opposite? Well, I can speak to my own personal experience. I've heard from countless
01:57members of the FBI that are grateful and thankful for the president's decision.
02:01And I think that we may have to agree to disagree. I'm sure that there are some people
02:05that are disappointed, but I've certainly heard from a large number of individuals,
02:10and that's just myself, and I don't even know that many people in the FBI.
02:13And one last question, just to follow up on the FBI thing. And I'm not trying to be overly
02:19combative here, but you said now today, and I think you said again yesterday,
02:23that you personally have talked to countless FBI officials, employees, since this happened.
02:31Correct. I mean, really?
02:36Between email, text messages, absolutely.
02:39Yes.
02:3960, 70?
02:41Look, we're not going to get into a numbers game. I mean, I have heard from a large number
02:46of individuals that work at the FBI that said that they're very happy with the president's decision.
02:52I mean, I don't know what else I can say.
03:00I said the slip of the tongue was in using the word countless.
03:03I'm sorry that I wasn't a robot like the Democrat Party.
