00:00This was the crown tiara that they gave me and then this is the sash is on my
00:05homecoming dress but this is the the sash that they gave me.
00:16I just think that me winning gave all of the people in my school especially that
00:22are LGBTQ especially trans a huge confidence boost and a huge like wow
00:27like this is insane like this is something that should be normal.
00:31The King Lucas was incredible like the sweetest boy I think I've ever met like
00:36he treated me like any other girl made me feel like it was normal and that he
00:42was happy just as happy or if not happier for me than myself which was so
00:47incredible.
00:57I was like let's try and it's okay if I don't get it but like it'd be cool to
01:04try and then like sooner or later I got the highest margin of votes in history
01:09and all of Olympia and all the other homecoming Queens and I won and it was
01:15just amazing and super super exciting. It just made me feel that people are
01:20actually here for me and that people are you know once again like super
01:24supportive. I actually came out and on Father's Day this year as transgender I
01:29was quote-unquote gay for about two years not kind of really knowing my
01:34full self but I've kind of just used that as an excuse to hide my femininity
01:38and my real gender but ever since I was three years old I would tell my mom and
01:42sister that I wanted to be a girl.
01:54I think there's still some growth that needs to be done but I feel like this is
02:15a big step in my heart and that people are actually you know like getting to be
02:21accepting and kind of understanding it. It's not a choice it's not it's not a
02:27sin it's just you being yourself and being happy and that's what everyone
02:32wants and that's what everyone deserves. You are beautiful you are strong you are
02:37just as amazing as anyone else in this world you don't have to set yourself
02:41aside or feel ashamed of it just be who you are and you can do anything when you
02:46put your mind to it.
