#Zikr # The Purification of the Heart
Zikr (remembrance of Allah) is a powerful act of worship that purifies the heart and strengthens the soul. It is the constant acknowledgment of Allah’s presence through reciting His names, praising Him, and seeking His forgiveness. Zikr fills the heart with peace, removes worries, and brings a believer closer to Allah.
Allah says in the Quran:
"Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest." (Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:28)
When a person engages in Zikr—whether by saying SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar, or La ilaha illa Allah—it cleanses the soul from sins, softens the heart, and increases faith. Just as water purifies the body, Zikr purifies the heart from arrogance, negativity, and worldly distractions.
Regular remembrance of Allah strengthens a believer’s connection with Him, bringing spiritual light, guidance, and contentment in both this life and the Hereafter.
