00:30Today we mourn a tragic, a senseless, a horrible event that happened in our city last night.

00:55Several individuals were wounded, three of them deceased that we know.

01:01A senseless death.

01:04Our hearts go out to the victims, the family, their loved ones, friends, and to our community.

01:11A heartfelt condolences to all.

01:14This is a sad day for our community, as I've said.

01:18There's no place for violence like this in our community.

01:23The investigation so far reveals that there was an altercation between two groups of people,

01:27and that altercation escalated to gunfire between both groups.

01:31Several other people were also injured in the crossfire.

01:36Officers arrived on the scene and began treating people immediately, while trying to deal with the chaos of that situation.

01:41Bystanders, some of them at the heart, had already started administering treatment.

01:47Officers' fire arrived very quickly, and they began immediately rendering aid, despite the fact that the scene was not secure yet.

01:55But as of right now, there are 15 people that are injured and three that have passed away.

02:00This is a huge crime scene with a lot of moving parts.

02:04It will take time to process it thoroughly and reopen everything.

02:09As Chief Story said, we have 18 total victims, and as reported in the news release, ages ranging 16 to 36.

02:20Seven patients were treated on scene.

02:23Eleven patients presented to local departments.

02:26Two were pronounced dead on scene.

02:28Four were transported locally, and one was flown to El Paso for treatment.

02:34The overall status that we have for right now is three patients are deceased.

02:39Seven have been sent from local hospitals to El Paso for further treatment.

02:44Four patients have been treated and released, and we don't have a status for the remaining four patients at this time.
