00:00Elon Musk's Tesla cyber truck is falling apart literally.
00:06And now they are recalling 46,000 cucks trucks because the panels are flying off on the highway.
00:15Elon Musk is now a very senior advisor to Donald Trump.
00:19He's got the keys to everything.
00:21And of course, nothing script screams shrink the government like putting a guy in charge
00:26who can't even keep his own trucks panels from flying off on the highway.
00:30So what's going on is Tesla's recalling 46,000 cyber trucks.
00:33There's a stainless steel trim panel.
00:37It's just blowing off and becoming a road hazard all across the country on highways.
00:42This is not like a one off mistake.
00:46Tesla accounted for more than one out of five recalls in the first three quarters of last
00:53year of all of the different manufacturers.
00:56More than one out of five recalls was Tesla.
00:59You can't fix flying panels with an over the air software update and Tesla's failures aside
01:07just for a moment, which we talked about yesterday in our segment about his Tesla going to die.
01:13There is an irony in Elon Musk's fanboys worshiping him as a free market genius while ignoring
01:20that Tesla wouldn't exist without government help.
01:24The same guy who constantly complains about unions and media and regulatory oversight
01:30seems very happy to cozy up to Donald Trump for political influence.
01:35Because for Elon Musk, this really isn't about ideology.
01:39It's about power.
01:41And Tesla's problems really don't stop at cyber trucks shedding parts like it's a demolition
01:47derby.
01:48This is a company that's been built, uh, in terms of its reputation on.
01:53We are smarter than the competition.
01:54We're more innovative.
01:56We're better yet.
01:57They can't seem to make a truck that stays in one piece.
01:59I encourage people to check out whistling diesels, a cyber truck sort of review where
02:07he just like takes it apart with his bare hands.
02:10It's really wild to see.
02:12And meanwhile, we know that Tesla workers have spoken out about poor working conditions
02:17and anti union actions and all of it.
02:20And so now Tesla ends up in this kind of weird slow motion free fall that Elon Musk's biggest
02:26fans refuse to acknowledge.
02:29We talked about major Tesla shareholders, including board members, starting to dump
02:33stock faster than Trump multi flushes his toilet just a couple of weeks ago.
02:39And the used Tesla market is cratering.
02:42If you're interested in that, um, there's this, uh, Jersey car dealer, George Saliba,
02:49who posts content and negotiations on tic tac and other places.
02:53Check out how much trouble he's having unloading the cyber trucks that he's bought.
02:58Check out the pathetically declined values of Tesla vehicles in general, and you'll see
03:03what's going on.
03:04And of course, when you look at other manufacturers, you see Ford and GM and Chinese automakers
03:09like B.Y.D.
03:11They are making electric cars that don't have recalls every other month and aren't flying
03:16into bits as you drive down the highway.
03:20The real issue for Tesla isn't just the recalls.
03:24It's the magic.
03:25The genocide has started to wear off.
03:28The investors aren't as hypnotized by Elon Musk's Twitter meltdowns anymore.
03:35Consumers are realizing, damn, we've got a bunch of options here.
03:38And while Tesla still dominates the EV space for now, it is dominating by a smaller and
03:44smaller margin.
03:45Sales are declining and it's looking more and more like the rock band trying to stay
03:51relevant as the industry has moved on.
03:55I don't know if the thing will exist in anything approximating its current form, uh, even five
04:01years from now.
