00:00Orange Tic Tacs, you can't have like just one, you have to have two and like whether
00:06you like suck on them or you kind of crunch them, I don't know if they're really helping
00:10your breath at all but they're definitely good for your belly.
00:14Hi everybody, it's Scarlett, I'm here with InStyle and I'm going to guide you through
00:18what is in my bag.
00:21This is my cute bag, let's see what's inside it, I can't promise it's gonna be anything
00:26that interesting.
00:28See, a pack of Kleenex, you know what, I have two kids and even without the two kids, I've
00:33always carried Kleenex in my bag, you just never know, people need to borrow it.
00:37Yeah, I guess Kleenex, they have a monopoly on it because you're like, can I have a Kleenex?
00:41Let's see what's in here, okay this is a great shade of Charlotte Tilbury Berry Victoria,
00:49I love this color, it's a kind of a taupey berry color and I like the lip liner too,
00:56shout out to Victoria.
00:57I did watch the David Beckham documentary recently and I actually have a new appreciation
01:01for Victoria Beckham.
01:02We're very working, working class.
01:05Be honest.
01:06When the Spice Girls were popular, I was listening to like Depeche Mode but I do appreciate a
01:11Spice Girls moment because they were very much in the zeitgeist and if I'm ever at a
01:15party and the Spice Girls are playing, you know, I can also do Tell Me What You Want,
01:19What You Really, Really Want.
01:20If I was a Spice Girl, I would probably be, I don't know, I don't know that any of them
01:31totally match my personality.
01:33I think I'd make up my own Spice Girl, I'd be like maybe Street Spice, I think that'd
01:38be my name, Street Spice because you know, you can find me on the street.
01:43Okay, this is a classic lip liner pencil, it is the MAC Spice Pencil.
01:48I remember my mom having like five of these in her makeup bag at all time and then of
01:55course you always put the taupe in the middle.
01:57I think that look is back but instead of using the taupe, I actually now do, so this is the
02:03Outset Lip Oasis.
02:04I'm obsessed, obsessed, obsessed with this product.
02:07We just came out with it like a couple of months ago.
02:09It has this fun applicator and it's really glossy and the slick is so good.
02:13It's not tacky like lip glosses.
02:15So what I do is I put the MAC Spice Pencil all around and then I put the Outset Lip Oasis
02:22and swish it all around and it's so good.
02:25Who are my 90s beauty icons?
02:28When I was growing up, like the girls that I looked up to were like, they were my peers.
02:32So it was you know, Christina Ricci, Winona Ryder, I love all the girls from Twin Peaks.
02:39I really looked up to my sister, she always was so good at doing her makeup and I actually
02:44did her makeup for her wedding and she did my hair for my wedding and she's always been
02:50a beauty inspiration for me.
02:52She's beautiful inside and out and she also has the MAC Spice Liner.
02:57Okay, oh, orange Tic Tacs.
03:02These are delicious.
03:03I love them.
03:04I like all Tic Tacs but I particularly like the orange ones because they're sort of like
03:08a little treat, you know?
03:10You can't have like just one, you have to have two and like whether you like suck on
03:15them or you kind of crunch them.
03:16I gave one of these to my three-year-old son the other day who had never had them before
03:19and he was in the back of the car and he went, mmm, these are good, can I have another one?
03:24They're so delicious.
03:25I don't know if they're really helping your breath at all but they're definitely good
03:29for your body.
03:30Oh, what the heck is that?
03:34Okay, I have a Co-Check card in here.
03:38It's a claim check.
03:40Not sure what I was supposed to be claiming but I guess I forgot it.
03:48This is in every bag that I own.
03:51It's the Outset's Botanical Rescue Balm.
03:53I use this on my cuticles, I use it on my lips, I use it on my flyaways, I use it on
03:58my heels.
03:59I give it to everybody around me that needs a balm.
04:02I put it on my kid's cheeks.
04:03I get asked if I have any balm for my daughter who's 10 and then I give her this and once
04:08it's open, like everybody digs their fingers in it so it's sort of become like a petri
04:12dish in my bag.
04:15My top on the go beauty tricks, probably carrying some sort of like multipurpose, like I always
04:21carry the Outset Rescue Balm but like some sort of multipurpose product in your bag because
04:26you can use it for like a highlighter, you can use it on your lips, you know, you can
04:31use it on your brow bone.
04:32So I try to carry a multipurpose balm with me everywhere and our Rescue Balm is awesome
04:37for that.
04:38And what are my other tips?
04:40I actually use like those eye patches that people put on during the day.
04:43I use them at night because I feel like I benefit more in the morning when my skin under
04:48my eyes has been moisturized than if I don't use them.
04:51I feel like it gives me a better shot at looking bright-eyed and bushy-tailed in the morning.
04:57I have a hair tie.
04:59Now, I can't tell you how many hair ties I buy.
05:04Every time I'm at the drugstore, I buy hair ties, like a whole thing of them.
05:07There's like a stack this much.
05:09And then I go into my drawer to get them, where did they go?
05:14It's like the sock monster but it's a hair tie monster and I know you know what I'm talking
05:18about.
05:19I tie my hair back all the time.
05:20I hate the feeling of having hair on my face.
05:24Like you're seeing it now, it's really beautiful, somebody helped me style it but I would never
05:27wear my hair like this in real life because I cannot stand the feeling of hair on my face
05:33and neck.
05:34As soon as I finish this shoot, I am going to put my hair in a ponytail and everybody
05:38else is going, why are you putting your hair up in a ponytail?
05:40You look so cute.
05:41You should wear it out.
05:42Are you going out to dinner tonight?
05:43And the answer is I probably am but I'm going to put my hair in a ponytail, wash all of
05:47my makeup off and then that's how like I'll go home and then just do minimal everything.
05:53I just, I hate the feeling of stuff on me, which is kind of an unfortunate thing because
05:58my job, I wear a lot of makeup and hair.
06:00Maybe it's a reaction to that, you know?
06:02Okay, this is a very, very cute taupe Prada Favre.
06:07They just came out with their makeup a couple of years ago, like relaunched it.
06:10I remember when it first came out and it was so chic.
06:13It came in all these cute little packages.
06:16So when they relaunched it, I was pretty excited and yeah, this is like another kind of caramelly
06:21color.
06:22I like these color, like these kind of warm caramelly taupe colors I feel like for every
06:25day and it's, I like the whole like kind of 90s makeup that's coming back.
06:30I think it's very sexy and universally attractive.
06:33It kind of reminds me of like an old 1930s packaging, you know?
06:38They really put like so much thought into the design of all of their products and I
06:42love Prada, I have to say.
06:44I love Prada.
06:45I feel like if my entire closet was all Prada, I would never have to think about what to
06:50wear.
06:51Oh!
06:52I also have a touchy clay pen.
06:53This is the YSL like concealer corrector.
06:57It always works.
06:59My mom had this pen.
07:00It was probably the first concealer that I ever bought because she recommended it and
07:04I still use it today.
07:05It's such a perfect like on-the-go thing to have.
07:08This is a no-brainer.
07:10It's always sad if you travel with this pen and then like it gets too many clicks and
07:15then all the liquid comes out and then you're like, darn it, I guess I'll have to just put
07:20more on my face.
07:21I'm sure that's not what you're supposed to do, but I always do that.
07:24I'm like, it all came out.
07:25I'll just like make it a foundation and then I have, you know, kind of a crazy looking
07:28highlighted face, but.
07:30The biggest beauty lesson I think my mom, well, a couple of things.
07:33My mom always told me to wash my face before I went to bed no matter how late it was, no
07:38matter how many martinis you've had, wash your face before you go to bed and I still
07:42to this day do it.
07:43It can be simple.
07:45I use all of the Outset products, but I wash my face with our cleanser, put a night cream
07:50on and like even if it's three in the morning and my bed is calling to me, I always wash
07:55my face and remove my eye makeup.
07:57And the other thing my mom always taught me was, I don't even know if this is still relevant,
08:01but she was like, you always have to put bottom mascara on to open up your eye.
08:05And it's actually true.
08:06If I don't put mascara on the bottom, I feel like my face doesn't look complete.
08:11Thanks mom.
08:12And she always, my mom always wore red lipstick if it was the day or the night.
08:17Maybe in some other version of my life, I would wear red lipstick during the day.
08:22Maybe if I wasn't trying to blend in more.
08:23I could be going from my daytime to a dinner and if I have a red lipstick in my bag, I
08:30throw it on because it just, it feels like you immediately are like, oh, looks like I
08:34made an effort.
08:35So there you go.
08:36Thanks mom.
08:37Okay.
08:38I guess that's everything that's currently in my bag.
08:40Thanks so much for watching.
08:41I don't know where my apartment keys are.
08:44My phone has now become my wallet.
08:46So yeah, it's everything in my bag.
